Where: Nina’s place
What: Forgiveness and talking
Rating/Warnings: High/Sex
Status: Complete

Nina knew that it had been some kind of OC craziness which had affected Gabe and she shouldn’t really blame him but there was part of her that thought those things must have all come from somewhere. Maybe he did resent her job more than he let on and get annoyed with her apparent inability to say no.

The way he’d spoken to her had brought up long buried memories of her mother, which made little sense since Nina had been so young then but apparently it hadn’t needed to make sense. Hearing a knock at the door and hoping it wasn’t more flowers, she loved them but felt bad that they were sat in vases in her home, she moved to answer the door.

Gabe stood nervously on the other side of the door. The day he'd awoken no longer feeling cranky was the day he realized something had gone very, very wrong the week prior. Another OC issue had dropped on them out of nowhere and he'd instantly feared Nina would want nothing to do with him. In a massive attempt to apologize, he'd personally selected the flowers for each of the four enormously elaborate bouquets he'd sent to her work and home - one per day. The flowers - ranging from roses to hydrangeas to exotic breeds, all hailing from either the Arboroteum or Tsuzukis greenhouse - had been painstakingly arranged by Gabe himself. By the end of the third day they'd worked out a time to meet and hopefully work this out. Looking back he felt like he'd been trapped in a horrible nightmare that he couldn't wake from; never in his life had he treated a woman as he'd treated Nina.

He stiffened as he heard the door start to open. He had one last offering in his hands - a plant in a beautiful hand thrown glazed terracotta container, painted in her favorite color. The blooming flowers inside were English roses.

Nina had to admit the flowers were beautiful, she was very very touched. It was obvious he’d thought about it a lot and put a lot of himself into the bouquets. She did love them but she couldn’t deny she was nervous, which was ridiculous because she never felt safer than when she was with Gabe. They’d get through this, she had to believe that because she loved him so much.

“Oh my goodness” she said, as she saw the flowers before offering Gabe a small smile as he looked at her from behind the blue pot, “Hey” she greeted, stepping back, “Come in”

"Hey gorgeous," it came out automatically, and he smiled shyly behind the pot. He realized the contrast that must be to how he'd been behaving before. Stepping in, he was grateful Nina hadn't had a change of heart at the sight of him and slammed the door in his face.

It was definitely nicer to hear those words and tone again, it relaxed her a bit. There was no way she’d had a change of heart, she loved Gabe a lot. And it really wasn’t his fault but they did need to talk. “Do you want a drink?” she offered, she’d put the plant in the kitchen for now.

“Yeah sure,” he said, handing off the roses to her. He watched Nina go about in the kitchen, desperately wanting to hug her, hold her and apologize a thousand times more.
After a week of zero physical contact every fibre of his being was aching for contact. But he refrained, unsure how she’d react. It was so bizarre that a dose of OC crazy had suddenly made things so awkward. At least, for him. He stood there, biting his lower lip a little, with an uncertain look, like a child unsure if he was going to be punished or not.

Things did feel awkward, though oddly if he were to take her in his arms she’d probably relax a lot more and diffuse some of the tension in the air. “So, you’re really feeling more you now?” she said, hesitantly as she went about making them drinks, mostly to keep her hands busy.

"Yes. God, yes." he said, breathing it out in relief. "I dunno what the hell happened. It was like being trapped in a nightmare." And now the words came tumbling out as he let go of all restraint. He went over to Nina, brown eyes pleading as he spoke. "I'm so sorry, baby. You have no idea. That was not me. Not who I am. You mean the world to me and I love you more than anything." He reached out and stilled her hands with his; he reached up and gently held her face in one hand, his thumb brushing against her cheek. He stepped closer, unable to help himself. "Please forgive me." Came his murmured plea.

Nina could tell he was being sincere, he was sorry for what had happened she could see that. And when he looked into her eyes, touched her and asked for forgiveness what else could she do but nod and wrap herself around him. She’d missed him so much, despite everything and she loved him so very much. “I love you too. I know it wasn’t really your fault” she told him, her arms tight around him and her words muffled where she was pressed against his chest. Tension left her as she closed her eyes and just enjoyed being back in his arms again. She still felt safe and loved there, which she had been worried might be lost for good.

An overwhelming sense of joy and relief washed over Gabe as Nina wrapped her arms around him in forgiveness. It meant everything to him that she believed all the grief he'd caused wasn't his doing but the damned OC's. The first sting of tears were in the backs of his eyes and he blinked them back. He'd been terrified he'd lost her; Gabe had never loved anyone as he had Nina and knew he never would be able to love anyone else as he did her. He held her tightly as if afraid some other force might try to tear them apart again.

All tension and awkwardness left them and Gabe relaxed against her as she did him. It felt so amazing to have her in his arms again, to feel her warmth against him. After a long silence he murmured into her hair as he kissed her head, "I love you, Nina Bear." He snickered. Now he was just being silly to break up the intense shift in emotion. The nickname meant nothing as he'd just invented it. "And for the record, I will totally take a shower with you any time you want." He smiled into her golden locks. He still couldn't believe he'd turned her down on that. It was something he actually wanted to try.

Nina couldn’t hold back her tears even though she knew she’d be making Gabe’s shirt wet, she was just glad it was over and they were together again. Part of her had wondered if they’d ever find what they’d had before but those fears were banished as soon as they’d touched. She loved him so much, beyond anything she’d felt both her and in the dreams. And she couldn’t imagine life without him.

She gave a soft chuckle at the new nickname, though it was silly it was also very sweet too and definitely helped them both to relax even further. She blushed a little at that reminder, but pulled back enough to look up at him, “You better” she told him, her smile watery but happy.

Gabe chuckled and carefully wiped the tears from her cheeks. The sight of Nina's tear stained face had his eyes watering up again. He leaned his forehead against hers. "Yes, m'am." He leaned down and kissed her nose, her tear stained cheek and then, very tenderly, her lips.

“Good” she said softly before kissing him back, moving her arms to wrap around his neck bringing them as close as possible. This was good it felt better, this past week had been awful and Nina wanted nothing more than to forget about it as quickly as possible.

She wasn't the only one desperate to forget. Gabe wanted more than anything to wipe from their memories what had happened, and he knew the perfect way how. The long absent touch of his girlfriend was sending his senses into overdrive and he wanted more.

Deepening their kisses his hands slid down to her sides, enjoying the familiar shape of her curves, before picking her up in one swift move and setting her on the counter, pushing aside their drinks. He paused a breath to look into her eyes, making sure she was on the same page he was. Fervent desire burned in his soulful brown eyes. He was going to make this right for her, in whatever way she wished.

A small little surprised squeak escaped Nina as she was lifted onto the counter, a part of her was always surprised when he lifted her so easily. She raised one of her hands to lay against his cheek, the desire in his eyes was reflected in her own and she leaned in to kiss him once more. Her hands sliding under his shirt as she did so, wanting to feel his skin under her palms.

He chuckled as she made a noise and nuzzled the hand that held his face, closing his eyes briefly and kissing the soft flesh of her palm before returning his attention to her lips. The kisses grew hungrier, and the electric touch of her fingers against his skin made him moan softly. He let her pull off his shirt as his hands found their way under hers. He’d forgotten how good it felt to touch her soft skin. “Where?” Came the question, husky and joined with a growl. He nibbled at her neck. He didn’t care if they did it in the kitchen, the living room, or her bedroom. So long as she turned Paddington around. He didn’t want the stuffed bear watching them. Talk about awkward.

Once they were both topless and breathless she smiled at his question, “Here” she told him, legs wrapping around his waist, “I need you now” As much as the bed or even the sofa would be more comfortable they could move there later, right now Nina just wanted the welcome and now familiar feel of him rooted deep inside her.

Kitchen sex. Well, Gabe could scratch that off his sexy times bucket list. He grinned and kissed Nina again, while his hands worked at her jeans, then his own. Hands and lips were all over Nina’s skin once they were both naked, and before long, the incredible sensation of being inside her was consuming him. He moaned her name loudly against her breasts as he planted kiss after kiss. He’d missed this so badly, without even realizing it in the state he’d been in.

Nina’s body reacted to his every touch, be it lips or hands and she welcomed it all. She’d missed him so much, and she wrapped her legs around his waist as he entered her body. Now she felt complete. “Gabe” she moaned with pleasure, her hands clutching him even as her inner muscles tightened around him.

“Oh, god...Nina I missed you...” he smiled against his girlfriend’s skin and moaned back as he started to thrust. All the worrying, the stress over the status of their relationship melted away into nothingness - forgotten, as he felt that intimate and familiar unity with her. One large hand slid down to her hips to keep her in place, while his other arm held her as he kissed up from her breasts to her neck, playfully biting at it as their hunger and passion escalated into a steady rhythm.

“Missed you too” Nina gasped as they moved together, “So much” She’d missed everything but especially their intimacy. Not just physical but emotional as well. It was something she treasured and protected, she loved him so much. Tilting her head to give him better access her hands curled over his shoulders gripping him as her body tingled with pleasure.

Gabe found himself sinking his teeth into her neck a little more, as if to anchor himself, brushing his tongue against her skin to taste before sucking hungrily. His thrusts picked up momentum as they hurtled towards climax, his deep voice groaning desperately against her skin as he felt himself getting close. God, he loved her so much, it went beyond words. Pleasing Nina with his body was only one effort in a myriad of ways he wished to express his love for her, and he realized in that moment how desperately miserable and lonely he’d been without her. She was everything to him.

Nina moaned and arched into the touch when he bit and sucked on her neck, it felt good more sensitive than she had realised before. She tightened her arms around him as he took her closer and closer to the edge, she loved everything about him and felt like she had everything she needed when she was with him. “I love you” she whispered feverishly before she felt her body shudder with release around him.

Gabe was practically grunting with his last few thrusts before he went over the edge, finding his sweet release just a moment after Nina’s. His lips broke from her skin as he gasped her name in her ear, hugging her to him as they stilled, chests heaving with effort. He could feel Nina’s heart hammering against his, the dampness of her sweaty skin, the wonderfully tight embrace of her slender arms, legs, and her orgasm. Gabe smiled. All was right with the world again. “I love you too.” And he couldn’t help but chuckle, so happy amends had been made.

Nina chuckled breathlessly too, tension between them was gone and they were back to that close intimate friendship and relationship they’d had before. Her arms remained wrapped around him, not wanting to let him go even though she found herself suddenly very relaxed and tired, but happily so.

Gabe wasn't sure how long they stayed intertwined, it felt like a blissful eternity. But at some point he said, "So, how about that shower? We get all cleaned up?" He nuzzled her hair. "Promise I'll let you lather me all over with whatever body wash you got." Not that he was sure what she had but she always smelled soft and sweet. Which as he thought about it, would make it amusing if he came out of the shower smelling that way. "Then we can hit the couch, hm?"

“Mmm that is a good idea” Nina said, hands moving to his neck, her fingers stroking his skin there, “And lathering you all over sounds very appealing” she told him with a smile a nod and a kiss. A while later after washing and enjoying themselves under the water they were curled up together on the sofa, Nina in only a dressing gown “A movie?” she suggested, snuggling into him happily.

Gabe smiled down at her giving her a little squeeze as they cuddled. He’d decided he was good with just his boxers. The shower had been fun and new to do together and they’d gotten a bit silly with the suds at one point. And sure enough he’d found that he smelled like Cherry Blossoms now. “Sure. Ladies choice.” And he handed her the remote and reclined into the comfy couch with his amazing girlfriend in his arms, having the best evening he’d had in a week.
