Irisa and Capable
Irisa watched her as she spoke and nibbled on her cookie. She'd heard a little bit about Capable being brought up in a commune and Tessa had warned her in case there were references she perhaps didn't get. The older woman hadn't wanted there to be any surprised reactions to things Capable might ask about.
Irisa gave a little shrug and returned her gaze to the crowd. "I guess so. I've never been much of a fan to be honest. Too many words, not enough doing stuff," she told Capable honestly. There weren't that many books that Irisa had actually read. It wasn't that she was dumb or couldn't read, but growing up with Nolan hadn't lent itself to having many personal possessions, a habit she hadn't really grown out of. She also wasn't really of the disposition to sit and read huge amounts.
"I suppose I could have done that too...reinforce the point," she said, a slow grin spreading on her face as she imagined it.
