Like the efficient person she was, Wendy knew exact placements of everything - especially in James's kitchen, and her own of course (if anyone messed them up, there'd be hell to pay), but she'd been to her gloomypuss's place enough times that her memory was sharp, and she was familiar with the space. At least James usually had enough to work with. So she did the very best thing for a slumber party: She popped a bowl of popcorn and drizzled chocolate all on it. Mmmm.
Not the healthiest thing, but it was delicious.
Then, upstairs she went, carrying the bowl that wafted the scent of sweet, buttery goodness. "You didn't peek, did you?" she asked teasingly, referring to her overnight bag. "I've got fun surprises in there."
