Pietro actually didn’t mind his job, he enjoyed it in fact. He had soon settled in, he was not afraid of hard work and didn’t mind pulling his weight. Once his co-workers had realised that there was no problem. Currently he had just finished his shift and simply working out in the gym, slowing the treadmill from the run he’d been doing he wiped his face over with the towel before moving on to the next machine.
Bumping into someone he said, “Apologies, are you alright?”
“I’m fine, thanks.” Natasha stretched. She was wearing a tight sports bra and a pair of gym shorts that hugged her curves in a very specific fashion. “I wasn’t really paying attention to where I was going.” She was too toned to use the ‘I haven’t been to the gym in months’ excuse. “I’ve got a lot on my mind. New gym and everything.”
Pietro couldn’t help noticing her outfit, he rather thought it was meant to be noticed and surely it would be rude not to appreciate it. “Do you need any help?” he offered, “I have just started working here so if I can help I would very much like to”
“Where do you keep the punching bags?” She asked, throwing a towel around her shoulders and rolling them. “I’m in the mood to hit something.”
“I am glad you told me that after accepting my apology” he told her with a smirk, “Please follow me and I will show you”
“I wouldn’t want to bruise that pretty face.” Natasha fell into step next to Pietro. So far she had a positive impression of him, but there were always more under the surface. She, of all people, knew that well.
Pietro grinned at her, “Thank you for not bruising me and for the compliment” he said with a wink. He liked her, of course he did she was gorgeous but fun too and he liked fun people. Fun, gorgeous and into fitness she was ticking all the boxes. He had no idea there was more to her being here.
She really just wanted to know if he and his sister were coming from a good place, or a bad one. And how to handle it when or if they dreamed. Wanda especially, but Pietro too. They would need help. Support. Natasha didn’t want to make the same mistakes she’d made in the past with others. “You’re welcome. I don’t think you need a bruising.”
“I appreciate that. I like myself unbruised” he replied, relatively he and Wanda were happy. Their lives may not have been easy but they always had each other which made many things bearable. “Here we are, bags which do not need to worry about bruising” he said as he stopped in front of the requested area.
“That one,” Natasha decided, pointing at one. She started to wrap her hands. “you said you just started working here? How do you find it.”
Pietro nodded, moving to make sure it was all set up properly for her. “I did. And I enjoy it a lot. I like being active and there is no reason not to be here” he said with a smile.
“The heat does take some getting used to,” Natasha admitted. “At least compared to where I grew up.” She lifted her hands and took a few shots at the bag. She actually was a little rusty. Except for her run in with Clint, she hadn’t been the gym as much lately as she’d like.
“That is definitely true. It makes the beach very attractive though, I have been learning to surf recently which is not something I have done before” he told her as he moved to hold the bag.
“Surfing is fun.” Nat took a few more swings. “I don’t swim as much as I used to.” Bullet holes were easily identifiable. “Got in an accident. Bye bye bikini.”
"I am sure there is nothing that could make you look bad in a bikini" Pietro told her with a grin and a wink.
“You’re probably right, but I was always a little vain.” She winked at him, then drew her fist back and hit the bag hard enough to jolt most people.
"I'm even more grateful you didn't want to bruise me" he told her as he felt the punch reverberate through the bag, it jolted him but not enough to let go of the bag.
Natasha laughed. “I’m sorry. I might put a little too much force into that. It’s been a rough few weeks, honestly.”
“Well, what better way to get rid of all your frustration that beating up a bag” he grinned at her.
“I can think of a few ways.” Nat winked at him, then stepped back and gave the bag a roundhouse kick.
The kick did cause Pietro to step back mostly because he’d been distracted by the innuendo in her words, “Impressive” he told her, trying to recover without losing his cool.
She lacked most of Steve or Bucky’s strength, even with the Soviet version of the serum in her veins, so she couldn’t quite send the bag flying. Doesn’t mean she hadn’t tried, though. “I try.”
"Believe me you succeed" he told her moving back to hold the bag, "I'm impressed anyway" Which he was, in more ways than one as he let his gaze wander over her body once more.
“Don’t try to impress, but don’t mind if do.” She cocked her hip and rested her hand on it. “don’t think I got your name.”
“Pietro” he told her, “Pietro Maximoff” he smiled, with a nod, “I hope to see you around more often, Miss...?”
“Natasha,” She replied. Nat knelt to pick up her bag and swung a towel over her shoulder. “I’m sure you will, Pietro.”
