Who: Alice and Django (aka Parker and Pietro) What: Post-explosion madness. Where: Mission Hospital to start. When: Early Saturday morning, after the Urdnot Ranch fiasco. Rating: TBD, mentions of fire/burns/explosions. Status: In progress.
Her head hurt. Her hands hurt. Her back hurt. Everything seemed to be aching or stinging or otherwise in pain, and Parker wasn't a happy camper. If she'd been less shell-shocked by the explosion she would've yelled and protested when the EMT loaded her into the ambulance, because she didn't like doctors and she didn't like hospitals. All they did was poke and prod and touch and make her uncomfortable. The doctors at Mission Hospital hadn't been able to do much for her. They'd stuck her with an IV to make sure she got enough fluids, cleaned out her cuts and scrapes, given her some ointment, and bandaged the burns, all of which she could've done herself. The one upside was the painkillers– the doctor had wanted her to get some rest and knew that sleeping with a burnt back would make that difficult.
After napping for an hour or so, she'd texted Django to come get her and signed the discharge papers. Now she was perched on the edge of a bench outside with her bag of personal effects, just waiting for her ride home.
