Agron is, at the best of times, aggressive by nature. He never holds himself back, not in the cage and not in the gym, either - regardless of if it’s a practice spar or regular training. It’s the basis for his reputation as a maniac. Agron loves it. Today he felt particularly annoyed. His first round of weird dreams had been unexpected, but what had gotten to him had been dreaming about his brother. Agron had a way he liked to remember Duro. He sure as hell didn’t want to see Duro as a slave, getting his ass kicked day after day.
After putting a punching bag through the rounds, Agron made his way to his bag which was sitting against a wall. Crouching down, he dug through it for a water bottle and fresh tape for his hands.
Alucard liked watching the other people train in the gym, Integra was his main focus but while waiting for her to shower and change he allowed himself to wander and observe. She’d come to train at a different time of day so those around were new to him, though known by reputation for some.
“You use your anger well” he commented as Agron grabbed his water bottle, “Not many can focus it in such a positive way, generally they get sloppy” he complimented.
Agron glanced over his shoulder. He eyed up the man, always unsure of if he wanted to actually engage people in conversation or not. But this guy seemed all right enough. He huffed out an amused breath and straightened up, sticking the end of the water bottle in his mouth.
“S’what I do,” Agron said, around the bottle. He took a drink and shrugged. “Wouldn’t call it positive.”
"As long as it doesn't get you in trouble I'd say it was positive. You are, after all, not without success" he smiled his slow lazy smile. Had he shown no interest in conversation Alucard would have simply slipped away but this was a nice surprise.
At that, Agron smirked a bit. Well, his smirks were more of amused grins than actual smirks, and it made him snort out a sound of laughter. “Then I walk a fine line of positive and not.” He took the time to properly look at the man in front of him. Definitely not a fighter. “You’re out of place here.”
Alucard smiled properly then, the smile of a predator. “I can hold my own well enough” he replied, even before gaining his supernatural abilities Alucard had received the very best of training for covert and special ops. He was a Ghost when he wanted to be.
Agron raised his eyebrows, but more or less maintained his amused look. He never liked the idea of a person not being upfront with all of their capabilities, and phrases like that rang vaguely ominous in his ears. “But you’re not one of us, is what I mean,” he said.
Chuckling Alucard shook his head, “No I’m not. You are correct. I’m waiting for my girlfriend, Integra Hellsing” He’d know her name if he kept up with the female fighters, she was well on the way to making a name for herself.
Fortunately, Agron did keep up on female fighters, if only because he was becoming quite good friends with Rose. But Agron had seen Integra around, so he knew instantly who the man meant, and nodded. “Close enough to one of us.” One more drink, then Agron tossed the bottle back into his bag. He began to unwrap the old tape from his hands. “I’m Agron,” he said, holding out a newly free hand.
“Close enough” Alucard nodded, pleased he knew of Integra already, before shaking the man’s hand, “I’m Alucard, good to meet you officially. I’ve followed your matches, I like your style” The man had a lot of power and knew how to use it.
That was the right thing to say. Agron smiled brightly, preening under the compliment. “I’ve been told I have cage appeal. Or some shit like that.” He laughed. “I guess there was some truth to it. Glad to know someone’s watching, I guess.”
Alucard chuckled, “There is definitely truth to it” he said, “And I always watch those who I think are worth watching”
“Thanks. It’s always good to know people like you.” By this time, Agron had finished wrapping his hands. He glanced across the gym at the other fighter waiting to spar with him. “I should get back to it. It was good meeting you, though. Maybe I’ll see you around again.”
"Please don't let me hold you up" Alucard smiled, "It was a pleasure talking to you and I am sure we will meet again"
