"I'm sure there's some joke to be made about how much I'd enjoy a meat fest right now," Kate said, barely holding back a laugh, "but I can't think what it is." Then she sat and sipped from her bottle, watching him on the phone with the pizza kid. She could tell they'd talked about this before, and she wondered if Clint wanted or needed to talk about his time in the service more. Like to a shrink. Weren't they just talking about that? Kate lifted her wrist to check her non-existent watch. "Twenty minutes and counting," she said, then lifted the bottle for another sip. "Mmm, yes. Well, I studied all the regular stuff. Math, history, science, English... I took some art classes but I can't draw a stick figure to save my life."
