Who: Iron Bull and Ahsoka. What: Talking about weaponry. When: After Ahsoka lost her v-card. Where: Bull's house. Warnings: PG-13 for really ambiguous discussion of sex. Status: Complete!
Ahsoka stopped by Bull’s house, hoping he was in, decent, and had time to talk. She could always stop by another time. But she really wanted to talk to him, and she okay she really wanted to brag. A lot.
She even had pictures!
Bull was home, eating a sandwich and reading a book. When he heard the bell ring, he padded to the door, feet bare, pulling on a shirt as he went. He couldn’t help but grin when he saw it was Ahsoka. She was a good girl, and he felt a bit protective of her. “Hello, come in!”
“Hey!” She grinned at him, and slipped inside. “I hope I’m not bothering you or anything. But I figure you’d enjoy my story.”
“You’re not bothering me, I was just having lunch.” He wrapped an arm around her in a loose hug. “Come on in, are you hungry?”
“A little.” She didn’t want to take advantage of his generosity, but she was a college student. You never said no to food. “So I went clubbing the other night.” She hugged him back.
“Want a sandwich?” He was already opening the fridge to make one, taking out tuna, mayo, and siriacha. “Did you? How’d that go?”
“Sure!” She plopped her butt down in a chair and watched him bustle about. “It was fun. I needed….distraction from my dreams. Boy did I find a distraction from my dreams.” A little goofy smile crossed her lips.
Bull looked at her, stopping for a moment from whisking hot sauce into mayo. “Really? Did you spend the night after?”
“Uh. Kind of yeah.” Actually saying it out loud was embarrassing. “She was really kind of… blunt. It was nice.” It was more than nice. It had been amazing, and fun.
“Do you like her?” Bull resumed making the sandwich, but he was smiling. Ahsoka seemed happy, and really, that was what mattered. Kids. They were so cute sometimes.
“Yeah. She was really sweet and attentive and uh taught me some things.” Her face turned redder. “And she’s enthusiastic as hell!”
Bull chuckled. “Are you going to see her again?” He cut the sandwich in half and handed it over to her. He went to pour her a drink, pleased to see her so happy.
“I.. don’t know? I’d like the sex again but I don’t want to get attached. Maybe as a friend.”
“You could talk to her about your fears. It’s better to have those things out in the open anyway.” He handed over her glass of milk, sitting down and patting her hand. “Don’t worry. You’ll be fine.”
“You think so? I just don’t want her to think I’m being one of those people.” Ahsoka wrinkled her nose. At least now that she’d experienced that with someone she realized it wasn’t as easy to get attached as she’d feared. It made her regret not riding the bull even more.
“Those people assume things and don’t ask them.” Bull resumed eating his own sandwich. “That’s what makes them those people.”
Ahsoka stuck her tongue out at Bull, then picked up her sandwich to take a bite. The annoying part is that he was right. “Yeah okay but where should I start?”
“Hey, so do you want to date or just have sex?” Bull grinned. “That one works for me, usually.”
“Thats… a good idea, actually. You’re smart, Bull.” She pointed a finger at him.
“Because I use my mouthwords? Yes. It has been said,” he grinned.
“Yeah, you use your mouth words. And other kinds of words but I wouldn’t know.”
“Hey, only a little of the weird language I speak in my dreams is starting to come through.” He’d found himself swearing a little in Qunlat during bouts, but it wasn’t like anyone could really tell with his mouth guard in anyway.
“I know like six languages but most people in my dreams also speak a galactic Basic,” Ahsoka said. “And for some reason a lot of people understand droid binary.”
“If you have to fix ‘em, you may as well have ‘em tell you what’s wrong with ‘em.” Bull shrugged. He knew what galactic Basic was, thanks, he only had a million original series posters in his den.
Ahsoka was as of yet unaware she was a cartoon character in a spin-off series. She’d probably freak out. “Do you look different? In your dreams?”
“Yep. About a foot higher, with horns. You?” Bull smiled, his eyes warm.
“Shorter, but I’m also younger. Probably about the height I was when I was fourteen. But I’ve got these...horn things that grow into these…” She tugged at where her lekku would be. “they’re called Lekku, and they’re kind of flexible...things. Also I’m orange.”
“Huh. Well, if you do turn orange, you won’t have to worry about blending in around here, pretty much every celebrity is too.” He winked at her, trying to be comforting.
“Not that kinda orange.” Ahsoka laughed. “I’m a Togruta, an … alien. Not human.”
“Well, if anyone gives you any static if you turn orange, I’ll punch them for you. And that’s with or without my horns.” He stood up to show her the eyepatch that had arrived one morning after he woke up. “I lost an eye in my dreams too, wear this over it and tied around my horn.”
Ahsoka’s eyes widened. “You don’t think you’ll lose your eye, do you? Ani lost his hand but… I kind of want to see him but not if it means him dreaming and losing his arm.”
“I don’t know yet. I hope not? If I do, I hope it means I gain the knowledge of how to fight without it.” He grunted thoughtfully, taking another pull of his beer.
“That might come with it. I mean I know how to use my swords and its like I have some of the training and other things. Oh! I meant to show you them!” Ahsoka hopped off the chair and reached into her messenger bag. She pulled out a cylindrical object, about 30 cm long and fairly thin. It had a ball shape at one end, and at the other end where two short tabs on either side. It honestly looked like something kind of dirty, and Ahsoka realized that. “It’s not at all what it looks like, promise.”
She levitated it in the air, then caught it and turned it on. The blade was green and the hum was probably very familiar to anyone with even a passing knowledge of a certain movie series.
His eyes went wide and he grinned. “That’s awesome.” And green. Green was for good guys, he knew that much.
Ahsoka spun the blade around. She was nervous with it, but she’d put in a lot of practice and she didn’t end up cutting anything in half. “Its really, really dangerous. I probably shouldn’t play with it.”
Bull grinned, then went to his bedroom to go get the present he’d received from his dreams. Coming back out, he had a battleaxe almost as large as he was, and was grinning broadly. “Want to go in the back yard and spin our things around?”
“YES!” Ahsoka jumped to her feet so quickly she knocked the table back. “But we should uhm. Hit your axe with my saber. Unless that thing is made of the right materiel it’ll cut right through it.”
“You think? Even with different worlds and all that?” Bull was just nervous about it melting through his baby. “How about you just don’t hit my pretty shiny with your pretty shiny.”
“Not hit, I meant.” Ahsoka blushed, she’d responded so quickly the words had just tumbled out. “I don’t want to break your baby.”
“Ohhh. Yeah, let’s make sure not to do that, yeah.” He ruffled Ahsoka’s hair, smiling to himself. “Thanks.”
Grinning, Ahsoka led him outside, practically bounding along the way.
He sat down, put his feet up, and motioned to her. “Okay, make with the spinnies.”
Lighting her saber, she spun it around, and in the middle of one move she pulled out a second one, and was suddenly duel weilding like a champ.
“You got two? All I got was this one crummy battle axe!” He stood up and sighed, twirling it lazily in one hand before gripping it with two.
“Like I’d even be able to lift that thing, that’s worse three,” Ahsoka countered.
“You can try, if you want to?” He smiled and set it down, knowing he’d never be able to play with her sabers. He’d probably cut his arm off.
“I think I’ll pass. I don’t want a hernia.” She grinned at him and flicked her blades off.
“It’s not that heavy. I don’t think.” He blinked. Maybe the dreams were making him stronger?
Ahsoka rolled her eyes and tried to pick it up. It was really heavy, and she could barely budge it. She took a step back and held up her hands. Even with the Force it was a difficult lift. “all in the mind…” It wavered and dropped back down. “Yeah okay I need more practice.”
“Want to meditate?” Bull smiled, knowing that mastery of the mind was key to mastery of the body. He’d learned that on his first official day of Ben-Hassrath training in the dreams. Broken shoulder, but still had to fight.
She nodded. “I think meditation would be good, right now.”
“All right.” Bull moved to sit down by her, surprisingly agile for someone of his build, and sat in a full lotus. He closed his eyes and cleared his mind, assuming she’d do the same.
