Who: Go Go and Asajj Ventress
What: Random encounters and Go Go nearly gets arrested
When: Recent
Where: Skate park
Status:c omplete

Usually Go Go skateboarded or roller skated later in the evening, but today was special. Today she was trying out some of what she’d learned from her dreams, and sped along the course faster than she’d ever gone before. It wasn’t her battle suit, but it was still amazing.

She overshot a ramp and skidded out onto the sidewalk. “SHIT!”

Standing on the sidewalk was a somewhat grumpy looking woman, holding a cup of coffee in her hands. The shades she had on made her look like a cop almost immediately, and the suit she was wearing had gone a bit askew. Her holster was clearly seen by all, and that was kind of on purpose. It wasn't a good day if Asajj wasn't intimidating people.

She'd been absent minded since the dreams started; Or rather, she'd been focusing on all the wrong things. At the moment she was wondering if she could force choke a pair of kids who were running around the park screaming at the top of their lungs. Did she even need to move her hands? Hand gestures were all about showmanship, really, and she wasn't trying to show off.

It didn't matter, though. One second she was imagining The Force clenching up around someone's neck, and the next second she was being knocked practically to the ground. Her coffee sloshed up out of the cup and all over her shirt, "That BURNS, you idiot!"

“Oh.” Go Go stared, wide eyed. A bubble popped and she sucked the gum back into her mouth. “Sorry. You okay? Uh.” She held out a hand, thinking to help her up.

Asajj gave her a look that could have scalded water, and batted the hand away. "I'm fine. Just covered in hot coffee, thank you so much."

She got up on her own, and dusted herself off. She didn't really care about getting dirty, but the hot coffee all over her front really did burn and now she'd need a new cup. She looked down at her shirt and let out a grumpy sigh, "What are you DOING skateboarding like that?"

“Testing something.” She lifted up the skateboard to show that the wheels didn’t actually appear to be attached to the board. Go Go popped another bubble before she elaborated. “Electro magnets. Less resistance.”

"Electro-magnets," Asajj repeated, dubiously. She reached a finger out to poke at them while her brain went through a list of things she was allowed to actually arrest or fine people over. Of course the kid wasn't actually doing anything wrong, and that just made the entire situation more annoying.

The idea was interesting at least, "You're going to slip all over the place. Don't you NEED a little resistance?"

“There’d be resistance with the ground,” Go Go explained. She spun one of the wheels. “No resistance between the wheel and the board means you go faster. It’s basically how bullet trains work.”

Except downsizing it was proving to be a bitch. “It was easier with my bike…”

"Was it?" Asajj replied, dryly. "Not as much sliding around, running over people then?"

The technology she was working on seemed dangerous, but also reminded Asajj a lot of things she'd dreamed about. Impossible things like hovering cars and sabers made out of light. She had yet to figure out how any of that worked, though her dream self knew a little more. Not enough to give the young woman any pointers, "That sounds as dangerous as my dream world. So much potential to be accidentally beheaded by vehicles."

“Easier to make it work. Scaling down to wheels this small isn’t very efficient so far. I just need more practice with control.” She shrugged her shoulder, dismissively. “We could build light rail much faster than current public transportation.”

"We could build everything much faster than public transportation. It isn't science or technology that's failing us, it's those dicks running our government. God forbid we innovate." Asajj rolled her eyes, then shook her head. "Find a safer place to test these things. You're threatening the safety of others. And their coffee."

“Sorry.” She didn’t look sorry, or even a little sheepish. In fact, she popped some bubblegum, and looked down at her wheels. She wasn’t scared of some cop. “Its a skate park. Beats a parking lot.”

"You're going to be more sorry if you actually hurt someone." Asajj rolled her eyes. The next time that the gum came out of Go Go's mouth, she reached her hand out and popped it. She hoped it exploded all over the girl's face. People like this were exactly the kind of people she regularly wished she could choke.

“I won’t,” Go Go promised. She wiped at the gum now all over her face and gave Asajj a glare. What a bitch. She dropped the board onto the ground and got onto it. She didn’t spare her another look before she kicked off and rocketted back into the park.
