When: Yesterday night
Status: Complete
Rating: PG-13 for thinking about murder
Rushing from class had been an experience, especially since Carmilla had never been so turned on in her life. And then Laura had delivered (and then some) and Carmilla discovered a whole new range of kinks, starting with the very clear fact she liked Take Charge Bedroom Laura.
It was almost as good as Bedtime Snuggles Laura, and she found herself drifting off to sleep for the first time in weeks. She was just that exhausted.
The light and the burning and the rage and maybe she was going to die but she was going to take that bitch with her. And Laura was going to be safe and Perry and Lafontaine and God even Danny, but most of all Laura. Everything for Laura, dying for Laura, the light burning and Carmilla jolted awake, screaming.
Laura had really enjoyed the afternoon. More than she’d expected. It was fun being the one in charge. And cuddling and falling asleep with Carmilla afterwards was also amazing.
Carmilla waking up screaming? Not so amazing.
“Carm! Carm, hey…” Laura sat up and pulled Carmilla closer.
Carmilla twitched, lashing out with her hand like a claw (and about as sharp as her cat form). It was pure luck that she didn’t take Laura’s head off. She started to shake, and curled in against Laura. “That vampire hero crap… sucks.”
Laura just managed to dodge the swipe. She’d have to remember that, if Carmilla had another nightmare. Once Carmilla curled in, she wrapped her arms around her and began stroking her hair. “So...you got that dream, too?” Dreaming of your own death...had to suck.
She nodded. “It felt so good stabbing her. You have no idea. But the everything started to burn.” She lifted her head, looking at Laura, and whispered. “It was worth it for you. I’d do it again.”
Laura gave Carmilla a faint, sad smile. “No dying on me here, okay?”
“I woke up, didn’t I?” Though the words were sarcastic, her tone was lacking. Carmilla threaded her fingers in Laura’s, and squeezed them. “No promises, cupcake. Not if I have to bring her down.”
Laura sighed and squeezed back. “I hope she doesn’t dream. And I hope she like, drives off a cliff or something so no one ever has to deal with her.”
It was tempting to take her out ahead of time. Carmilla narrowed her eyes, and thought about that. It would be really easy to stage a panther mauling. “Don’t you worry about it. She won’t be a problem.”
Laura decided to let that part of the conversation drop for the moment. Instead, she concentrated on stroking Carmilla’s hair. “I could fix some cocoa, if you’d like.”
“Yeah.” Carmilla didn’t seem like she was going to move and until she did Laura couldn’t get up to make cocoa. But she liked the sound of the idea. “I’m not going to sleep for a month.”
Laura leaned down to kiss Carmilla’s forehead. “Even if you don’t sleep, can I cuddle with you some nights?”
“Most nights,” Carmilla promised. She stroked Laura’s face. “Especially nights like this.” Either she meant nightmares, or what they’d done after class. Possibly both.
Smiling, Laura leaned into the caress. “Good. I sleep better with you, since...those dreams.” It was comforting, having Carmilla right there if she woke up during the night.
“I love you, Cupcake,” Carmilla whispered, then pulled her down. “Now get some sleep. I’m not going anywhere.”
Laura snuggled in against Carmilla and sighed happily. “I love you, too. And I’m not going anywhere, either.”
