While she was setting up, Rogue had country music on. She'd change it when everyone got there, of course, but for now she was singing along as she went through the place setting tables and so on. She was dressed in her plaid shirt and jeans, cowboy boots clicking on the floor as she prepped. The place shone, she'd really put effort into this. She was kind of rolling Neal & Lina's welcome home feast (from you know months ago) and the YAY WE RESCUED CINDY feast into one big one. Which meant there was LOTS of food. Lots. The place had been turned into what felt like a backyard country party setting - lights draped across the ceiling, mason jars everywhere with flowers in them, simple and elegant all in one.
On the bar was a spread of food. Her grandma's Mac n'Cheese - cheesy and delicious, Beignet Doughnuts, Grillades and Grits, Eggs and Purgatory, Cajun sticky chicken, Cajun and Shrimp pasta, chicken pot pie, Winter Skillet creamed corn, cajun pasta (without meat), baked potato soup, fried chicken, jerky, fried green tomatoes, cornbread sage stuffing, steamed okra, feta stuffed tomatoes, vegetable lasagna, jambalaya, gumbo, pecan pie, apple pie, pecan peach cobbler, strawberry shortcake, booze filled chocolates and more. And bunch of bottles of apple pie moonshine (as well as sweet tea, sodas etc).
She set the last of the food on the counter. She could feed an army with all of this. But that was fine. She loved it that way. She poured herself a glass of sweet tea, and hummed as she looked around and made sure everything was set. She set it down and did one last walk through. Then she nodded lightly, it was perfect, there was plenty of food and plenty of good things and it smelled divine. Fresh flowers, and delicious foods. She danced around a little bit, singing a little bit: "I feel no shame, I'm proud of where I came from, I was born and raised in the boondocks, One thing I know, No matter where I go, I keep my heart and soul in the boondocks" it was one of her favorite songs, and it was true. She didn't care who walked in on her. She was having fun.
{ooc: feel free to tag in, or not, but if you showed up this is the food you got to nom on!}
