Who: Bethany, Fenris, and open to the other Hawkes
What: Bethany is attacked! Dun dun dun
When: AN EVENING
Where: Near Marian's Comedy Club
Status: In Progress
Rating: PG-13 for violence

Bethany had taken a short cut through an alley on her way to the Comedy Club. She wasn't paying attention, looking down at her phone and debating sending Robb a message. She really did want to thank him, and a wry part of her mind thought she could feel her mother hovering over her shoulder, doing what mothers do best and telling her 'he'd make a good father for my grandchildren.'

She smiled, and was tapping out a message when something hit her in the back of her head. Her thumb slid across the keys and she she cried out, stumbling to the ground. Blindly, she lashed out, energy thrumming through the air and sending her attacker spinning. Stumbling to her feet, the air grew chill as Bethany summoned the primordial cold. A knife bit into her chest. She fell back onto the ground, throwing out a cone of ice in front of her.

Her attacker stared at the monster she'd just slain, because really, there was no other word she could use for what had just happened. Her left arm hung limply at her side and blood was frozen on her face from a dozen cuts. Hearing footsteps, she didn't have time to finish Bethany off, or to even watch her die. Dropping a note, she took off at a run as someone rounded the corner.

Bethany gasped for air, her hand clawing at her chest and weakly glowing green.
