Athos had planned everything, he had steaks cooking along with potatoes and green vegetables and had made a chocolate torte for dessert. The living room was set with candles and romantic music and the bedroom was covered in rose petals. The ring box was tucked away in his pocket and wine was breathing on the side. He’d even managed to track down a french one from the region D’Artagnan had come from in the dreams. Everything was set, even Grimaud was behaving himself, almost like he knew something was going to happen, something important.
Now he just needed his boyfriend and everything would be perfect.
D’Artagnan hadn’t known what to expect today. He thought it was going to be pressure, but so far it’d just been relaxing. He’d started things off by breakfast for Athos. It’d consisted of bagels and brunch type things since he was awful at cooking, but he could at least manage that much. The rest of it had just been hanging around the house and being lazy, one of his favorite pastimes.
He was just returning from the place he’d gone to pick up chocolates and stepped inside their shared home. There were candles everywhere and they caught his attention first. “Athos?” He couldn’t help but to smile at them, Athos could be a ridiculous romantic at times. It was a stark contrast from his dream self, and one D’Artagnan loved. He didn’t see him in the living room so he raised an eyebrow and slipped into the kitchen.
Athos had been beyond touched when D’Artagnan had made them breakfast, it was very sweet and he knew how much effort his boyfriend had put into it. Their lazy day had been wonderful and luckily D’Artagnan had given himself a reason to go out for a little bit meaning Athos could take advantage of the time to set everything up.
It was true he was hopelessly romantic but he just wanted to make D’Artagnan happy, his sullen self from the dreams wasn’t really him here. He was lighter with less emotional baggage from the past. And while he could be grumpy once his friends got close to him they realised he was just a bit of a gruff teddy bear. “In here love” he called out and smiled as D’Artagnan entered the kitchen, “I thought it was my turn to surprise you”
“I am. It looks amazing. It looks like you went through a lot of trouble to get all this up.” He closed the distance between them to give him a gentle kiss. “You’re something else you know that?” He smiled as he brushed a finger against Athos’s cheek affectionately. “You didn’t have to do all this.”
"You're worth it" Athos said, "I wanted to make it special for you" he returned the kiss easily, hands sliding around D’Artagnan's waist. "Thank you, I didn't have to but I wanted to. You deserve the best valentine's day ever"
"You're here it already is special. " He gave him a gentle nudge with his nose as he leaned in to kiss him once more. This time a little deeper. He originally thought this holiday was going to be work, but it hadn’t been hard at all. It had felt natural to celebrate it with Athos who he loved so deeply. He was relieved. He broke the kiss to breathe and smiled warmly. "Still take my breath away. " his words were a whisper, his arms wrapped around Athos’s neck.
“And you keep saying you aren’t romantic” Athos smiled before returning the nose nudge and kiss. Athos thought D’Artagnan did well at being romantic too, it came naturally to him and when they were together it was clear they were relaxed and themselves. “Mmm I hope to always be able to do that” he said, his own arms around his boyfriend and his arms stroked his back, “I never want you to question how I feel about you. I love you more than anything D’Artagnan and I will tell you that everyday”
“You must be rubbing off on me.” D’Artagnan couldn’t help but smile around Athos, he’d never been more comfortable around anyone. He’d never expected to fall this hard for a man, and he still enjoyed every day they spent together. “I love you too, there’s no one else I could ever imagine waking up with.” He rested his forehead against Athos’s own gently.
Athos chuckled, “Oh you think it’s my influence hmm?” he smiled, rubbing their noses together, “I’m thankful for that, because I love being with you” he said, kissing him once more before the timer went off. “Dinner?” he asked, “I got a nice bottle of red for us if you want to grab it and the glasses”
"Only explanation. " He teased as he returned that kiss before reluctantly breaking away from his arms. He was fond of red wine lately. He hadn’t had much alcohol experience at all before the memories started through the dreams. Now it just felt like fond memories rather than far off dreams. It was a nice connection without all the heavy strings attached. He reached for the unopened bottle and read the label. "Is this really from Gascony?" He was impressed and amused. "You really did think of everything. "
While Athos had experience with alcohol he didn’t used to be that fond of wine, since the dreams however his enjoyment and tolerance had increased. That shouldn’t be too surprising though. Dream Athos was a bit of a drunk. “It is indeed, it took me a while but I thought it would be a nice touch” he smiled, before turning to plate up the steak and accompaniments.
A bit was putting it lightly, but even still D'Artagnan loved him, and there he loved him as a friend. "I can't imagine it was easy to find." He smiled warmly as he moved to pour the glasses full. Then while Athos took care of dinner he knelt down to the puppies level to give him some attention. D’Artagnan was getting used to him now. He was actually pretty cute when he wasn’t drooling on everything.
"Not easy no, but at least now I know where to find it in future" Athos smiled as he turned to find D'Artagnan petting Grimaud, he was glad they were getting along better now but he'd hoped they would. Taking the laden plates to the table he set them down, "Dinner is served" he said, pulling out his boyfriends chair for him.
D’Artagnan just took a little time to warm up to things even if those things were his idea. He knew it was weird, but everyone had a quirk or two. Giving the critter a last ear rub he looked over at Athos and just smiled at that. Athos was always thinking of him, he hoped to be half as good as he was to him. He tried, but he was nowhere near as romantic as this. He sat in the chair offered to him and looked over everything. “It looks amazing, you really went all out.” Before he’d met Athos, his dinners usually consisted of take out and whatever was closest. This was a severe improvement.
Athos liked D’Artagnan’s quirks, they were sweet and Athos had gotten used to them now, in fact he was rather becoming an expert. Which he definitely liked. He didn’t mind that D’Artagnan wasn’t as romantic, he knew the younger man loved him and really that was all he needed. “I’m glad you like it, I hope it tastes amazing too” he said, pressing a kiss to the top of his head before sitting down himself.
“I’m sure it does.” He smiled as he waited for Athos to join him across the table before trying anything. “Just as good as it looks.” He made a face then. “How did you figure out how to cook like this?” D’Artagnan never had anyone around to show him how to use the stove or anything, it’d all just been one of those lost skills. Aramis had taught him a few things when they first met, but before them? He had no clue.
Chuckling Athos looked at D’Artagnan affectionately, “I took an interest when I was younger and I’ve always liked making my own food. Knowing exactly what was going into it and how it’s been prepared” he replied, “If you’d like to learn I’m happy to show you” he offered, though he didn’t mind doing the cooking. They’d gotten used to the shifts with Athos preparing a number of dishes in advance and then freezing them so they could be reheated whenever they got home.
“I burn Ramen.” He shrugged and gave him a calculating with a hint of amusement. “Are you sure you want to try your patience that much?” He’d dried out pasta the first time he’d tried Aramis’s recipe on his own. He was hungry and everything was almost restaurant quality. It was perfect.
“When it comes to you I have plenty of patience love” Athos promised, “And if I don’t I’ll just use distractions techniques and we’ll do something you’ll find more fun” he added with a grin. He was very pleased with how everything had turned out, one of his best efforts and the wine complimented it rather well too.
“You sure you aren’t a saint?” He smiled and then it went lopsided. “Distractions huh? I am not that easily distracted you’ll find.” Entirely a lie and he knew it, but it was his job to give Athos a hard time and he felt a need to tease him a little. “Today has been perfect.” Athos had a gift waiting for him after dinner too, there had been a decorated container in blues sitting on the counter for him, as part of the things D’Artagnan had gone to pick up when he’d gone out.
“Far from it” Athos smiled, especially with the things in his mind concerning D’Artagnan, a lot of those were far from saintly thoughts. “Oh I’m sure I can come up with something” he replied, letting his bare foot stretch out to rub against D’Artagnan’s ankles. “I agree. And I’m glad, I wanted us to have a perfect day. And it’s not over yet” he added with affection.
He grinned at that little touch and gave him feigned look of curiosity. “What else might you have in mind?” Of course he had an idea given that little nudge, but he still enjoyed teasing him. It didn’t take him terribly long to finish dinner with how good everything had turned out and his appetite. Athos’s cooking was just one of the things he loved about him. “Maybe something to do with all those candles out there?”
“Maybe” Athos replied, toes still stroking D’Artagnan’s foot, “I was thinking we could have dessert in the living room, I’ve set the mood a little” he added with a smile, knowing D’Artagnan had probably already guessed that much.”And I made a chocolate torte” because a french chocolate dessert seemed right.
“I think we could manage that.” He seemed to have gained D’Artagnan’s attention just a little more at the suggestion of chocolate. “Maybe even use the fireplace a little later.” He reached over to give his hand a squeeze and stood, moving to take his hand. “I don’t know what that is, but you had me at chocolate.”
Athos had thought D’Artagnan might like that part, “Mm that is a nice idea” Athos agreed, because it was cool enough to have a little fire going. He knew D’Artagnan liked to be warm and he squeezed his hand in response. “I know the way to your heart” he grinned, kissing D’Artagnan’s knuckles before releasing him to clear away the dishes. “Why don’t you go get comfortable and I’ll bring the chocolate to you” he suggested.
"Chocolate delivery? Now you really are stuck with me. " He smiled at his gentle kiss and gave his cheek a ghost of a caress before taking the cue to go get comfortable. "Think I'll take the rest of this with us. " He added as he took the rest of the bottle of wine and glasses into the living room. He filled the glasses again and got himself situated on the couch. It wasn’t a scary holiday at all, experience or not. It felt normal to celebrate them, and he was relieved.
“Glad to hear it” Athos smiled before moving to the kitchen, placing the used dishes and cutlery quickly in the dishwasher before cutting the torte and plating it. Taking a deep breath he reached into his pocket and wrapped a hand around the ring box which contained the ring he’d chosen.
He’d decided once they’d finished their dessert he’d ask, before they got distracted by other things. Nodding to himself he picked up the plates and took them through, “As promised” he said handing one over as he sat.
All of the Valentine's commercials made it seem like this was going to be a stressful holiday, but he was content. Relaxed even. He rested on the fleece blanket that he always left out on the couch and toyed with one of the flames of the nearest candle. He'd seen people put them out with just their fingertips but hadn’t tried it himself. Fortunately before he could attempt it Athos came in with chocolate and he slid over to make room for him, and to properly try the treat. "It's amazing. Like you. " He kissed his cheek affectionately before indulging in the rich chocolate.
Commercials liked to worry people in the hope that they’d panic buy things, at least that was Athos’ view. But he was glad D’Artagnan seemed so relaxed about it, that had been his hope. After all to them it should be a nice day. Settling in next to him he caught D’Artagnan’s lips in a sweet kiss before they both ate, “Let me know what you think it’s a new recipe for me”
D’Artagnan returned the kiss with a content warmth. It was something he wouldn’t get enough of. Athos’s kisses were addictive as they had been the first time they'd done it in San Francisco, the magic of that city hadn’t worn off even now. He turned his attention to the chocolate treat in his hands and gave Athos a look. "Are you sure you weren't meant to be a chef instead of a super spy?" He leaned against him as he ate.
“Maybe I missed my calling” Athos joked as they ate. If he had his way the way they felt about each other would always have that edge of addictiveness to it. He never wanted D’Artagnan to think they had become boring or find he wasn’t as affected as he used to be. “Looks like it got your seal of approval” he commented once D’Artagnan’s plate was empty.
D’Artagnan hadn’t thought they lost any appeal even over time. Athos’s touch was still a thing he would always crave. He'd home from a life where he had rarely been touched, everything was still new to him. The way relationships worked was interesting to him. He really didn't have any other frame of reference, but to him that wasn’t important. He didn’t want any other references. Just Athos. "Nope. I think you're going to have to make more and let me test every one of them. " He smirked as he put the plate down on the small table near them.
"Oh I see, I've created a torte monster" Athos grinned, nuzzling D'Artagnan's neck once their plates were safely on the table. "I think I could be persuaded to do that though" he smiled kissing his boyfriends cheek.
"Your fault entirely. " He tilted his head to give him a bit more room and chuckled at that. "I think you'll find I can be incredibly persuasive. " D'Artagnan shifted after that gentle display of affection and turned to catch his lips in a firm kiss. The remaining chocolate only caused it to be more interesting to D'Artagnan, his finger tips curling into the fabric of Athos’s shirt as he drew him closer.
“Oh I have no doubt about that. I’m well aware of how persuasive you are” Athos said against his lips before kissing him back. He couldn’t let himself get too carried away yet but right now he wanted D’Artagnan close and he wrapped his arms around him to keep him there.
He gave his lower lip a playful nip before it parted and he was drawn into his arms, stopped seemingly from doing much more. He raised an eyebrow. “Everything all right love?” He didn’t mind it of course, but he sort of thought other things were happening. Suddenly he found himself held in place.
Athos nodded, “Everything is fine” he said pressing a kiss to D’Artagnan’s lips before pulling back a little to look at him. Resting one hand on his cheek he looked into D’Artagnan’s eyes, “You know how much I love you, I always will and I cannot imagine my life without you” he reached into his pocket for the ring box, “Charles de-Batz-Castlemore-d'Artagnan” he smiled, opening the box, “Will you marry me?” It wasn’t exactly as Athos had planned, he was going to do the down on one knee thing but this felt right.
The brunette watched him through confused eyes as he was stared at so intensely. He didn’t know what was happening except Athos hadn’t ever used his full name like that since he told it to him the once. “I” For a moment he couldn’t find anymore words as he stared at the box, and then back at Athos. Athos wouldn’t tease him about something like this, it wasn’t his style. The look in his eyes drew him in. He realized he hadn’t spoken in a while though he’d already agreed in his head a few hundred times over. New things often were a bit of a shock on his system, this was a huge new thing. “Of course. Yes, I will.” Athos could likely feel the heat from his cheeks now where his hand was.
Athos knew it would take a little while for D’Artagnan to absorb the information and respond but he had to admit he was starting to worry that maybe Aramis had been right and it was too much too soon. When D’Artagnan did answer Athos let out the breath he’d been holding and kissed him sweetly, “Thank you” he said with a smile, nuzzling their noses together. “I love you”
He was still quiet, watching his actions for a few moments before he responded shakily with a hint of amusement as the gentle kiss parted and he tried to shake the stunned fuzzy feeling from his face. “You must. You’re the only one who’s used my full name before.” He quipped softly in return and shook his head with a bit wider of a smile as some of the shock thawed out. “It’s beautiful.” He looked over the box properly and noted the small Fleur De Lis symbol and various details. It was perfect. Not tacky like the rings he’d received from the dreams.
Athos laughed softly, “I thought, on this occasion, it was called for. My D’Artagnan” he smiled, glad he seemed to be emerging slowly from the shock. He knew he’d been right, that his boyf...fiance could handle it. “I’m glad you like it, I wanted you to have something which fit with us and this seemed to do that” he removed the ring from the box and held out his hand for D’Artagnan’s own so he could slip the ring on.
“Heh maybe so. But that information doesn’t leave this room love.” Athos knew how he felt about other people using it. Why tell them something they were going to mispronounce anyway? Though his easing melted a little then. “Yours.” And his expression softened, he placed his hand in Athos’s own to let him put the ring on it. While he removed it from the box, D’Artagnan had fallen quiet again. This was actually happening and wasn’t just some dream. If it was a dream, he didn’t want to wake up.
“You have my word” Athos promised, he wouldn’t use his full name in front of anybody but when proposing marriage it had seemed right to use it. And he had pronounced it all correctly, which he was a little proud of. He was glad D’Artagnan looked so happy when Athos claimed him, “As I am yours” he smiled before sliding the ring into place, so happy that it fit and then lifted his hand to press a kiss over it.
He liked only a select few actually knew his full name, and those were the few that mattered most to him. “Seems we should get you one of these as well then. Can’t have anyone thinking they can get away with anything and thinking otherwise.” D’Artagnan just watched him with a continued warmth and love in his eyes as Athos kissed his hand so sweetly. He raised his free hand to caress his cheek. “Remember I don’t share well with others.”
“That is something you never have to worry about love” Athos said, “Nobody else comes close to you and they never will” he promised. D’Artagnan was the one and only for him, he’d realised that rather early on. Everything he imagined for the future involved D’Artagnan and he didn’t want a life without him. Athos was a very loyal man and he’D dedicate his life to making sure that D’Artagnan was happy.
D’Artagnan seemed relieved by that response, not that he doubted Athos but he knew he was young. He wondered sometimes if Athos might be happier with someone closer to his age. “I love you.” He leaned to kiss him gently, the hand with the ring on it lacing with Athos’s own. “Think we should put all these candles to use.”
Athos had wondered the same thing of D’Artagnan, wondering if he would be happier with someone younger and close to his own age but he knew he wanted to be the one to give him everything he could ever want. “I love you too” Athos replied, “And I do think you have the most wonderful ideas” he grinned pressing another kiss against his lips as his free hand slid around his fiance to pull him close.
“I know, I’m brilliant.” He murmured against his lips as his own slid up Athos’s shirt, palm pressing against his bare skin and toying with it gently. He didn’t want anyone else, his age or otherwise. He was more than content with Athos-so long as Athos didn’t tire of him. “I hear people do things with wax.” He’d obviously been spending too much time listening to Aramis’s romantic endeavours, but the idea intrigued him. He sucked at his lower lip affectionately.
“Mmm you are” Athos agreed, knowing he would never ever tire of the younger man in his arms. He adored him more than he’d thought possible. He chuckled, “Been talking to Aramis have we?” he teased a little before shifting them so that D’Artagnan was laying against the cushions of the sofa and Athos was easing his shirt up placing kisses against his exposed skin.
D’Artagnan just grinned at his agreement. Part of him wondered what other things he might be able to get Athos to agree to. "Maybe.." He shivered at the warmth of his lips against his sensitive skin and released a soft gasp of pleasure as they hit a particular spot. His own arms rested casually above him, just indulging in Athos’s affection. "Any kinks I ought to know about love? " He chuckled, but really was interested in these things. "Porthos is apparently good with knots..not that I'll share but as an idea. "
Athos was more agreeable to things than D’Artagnan realised, he just liked the other to be the one to want to explore. He didn’t want to push anything. “There might be one or two, but the fun is in the discovery” he teased, letting his tongue run over a nipple before removing D’Artagnan’s shirt completely, “Mmm my knot work isn’t too bad, if that was something you’d like to try”
“Well aren’t you a mystery.” He helped in the shirt removal, pulling it over his head as he settled back against the couch. Hs back arched just slightly as that sensitive skin was teased, he chewed at his own lip for a moment watching his movements. “ It’s an option anyway.” D’Artagnan was more open to things than he had been in the beginning now that he had ideas of the things he liked. He was more willing to test boundaries. “I like this handcuff thing I heard about once..” His thoughts were quickly becoming distracted though the more he felt Athos’s breath against his skin the less he was able to think about anything else.
“I need to keep some things a mystery for you to discover don’t I?” Athos smiled before turning his attention to D’Artagnan’s skin kissing and licking his way over his chest. He hummed at the suggestion, “Oh? Well we have handcuffs love...” he drawled before sucking on a nipple as his hands moved to D’Artagnan’s pants to undo them, wanting them out of the way. Grimaud, having decided his parents weren’t doing anything interesting had moved to his dog basket and curled up to sleep.
“Mhm.” He agreed to that. Making it one seemed to add a little spark, though D’Artagnan was interested it was like a game for him to find out on his own. He released a breath he’d been holding as his skin shivered under his touch. “I recall we both have a few between us.” He managed, his hand reaching to brush against Athos’s cheek. “I want to try them.” A faint crimson touched his cheeks at both the conversation and his pants finally being undone. He could feel his muscles tightening in anticipation in his stomach, he reached to tug Athos’ shirt away from him.
Athos thought making it a fun sexy game might be a good idea and it seemed it had been. “Mmm we do, a take your pick of handcuffs” he smiled, letting his beard rub a little roughly against D’Artagnan’s soft skin. Luckily he wasn’t one to succumb to beard burn which Athos was pleased about. “Wax here then handcuffs in the bedroom?” Athos asked as he pulled back long enough to remove his own shirt and the rest of D’Artagnan’s clothes.
“No lack of handcuffs.” His skin reacted by prickling at the slightly rougher treatment than it was used to, but not in a terrible fashion. His fingertips gripped at Athos’s shoulders as he nodded. “I like this plan. You have good plans.”
“You’re the inspiration for them” Athos smiled letting his fingers run over D’Artagnan’s chest before picking up a candle, “Hold out your hand” he said, wanting to make sure D’Artagnan actually liked the feel of the wax before they put it anywhere else.
Testing it was wise, D’Artagnan hadn’t done anything like this before. The pictures looked interesting but they meant nothing if it was actually severely uncomfortable. Tentatively he held his hand out, it was a little nerve wracking since he knew it was hot wax but also intriguing. He didn’t pull away even though his arm seemed to want to.
Athos pressed a kiss to the palm of his hand before letting a small amount of wax drop onto it, “How does that feel?” he asked, if D’Artagnan didn’t like the feeling then they’d stop there and know it wasn’t for them.
The corners of his lips tugged into a smile at Athos’s gentle kiss. The wax was different, he’d expected pain, but it was more of a warming sensation. He didn’t flinch away like he thought he might, but he raised an eyebrow. “Warm. Kind of nice.” He admitted, so Aramis wasn’t the only one with odd kinks. Apparently the wax caught his interest. The varying heat temperatures were interesting against his skin.
Athos’ smile was slow and happy when D’Artagnan said he liked the feeling, “Mmm I’m glad” he said leaning in to kiss him before withdrawing and looking at his fiance as he let a small amount of wax drip onto D’Artagnan’s thigh, “And here?” he asked, voice low and husky.
“Hmm.” The wax left a slight sting to his skin but it wasn’t an unpleasant one. He spread his leg as he felt it begin to drip down his skin. It caused his muscles to once again tense in all the right places, a nearly instant arousal from the bite of the heat. “Tingles.” He managed, though his words currently were hard to come by with his attention on Athos and the candles shadows on his skin. “Keep going” He murmured softly as he reached to brush his hand through some of Athos’ hair encouragingly.
Athos could tell it was a different sensation but one D’Artagnan liked, if his hardening cock was anything to go by. Smiling he leaned into the hand in his hair and nodded, letting another drop of wax to fall onto his other thigh, slightly higher up this time. It was fascinating watching the reactions play across D’Artagnan’s skin.
D’Artagnan writhed under the sensation of the wax now cooling against his skin. The higher it was the less bite it packed but it caused his fingers to twist a little harder than he meant to in Athos ' hair. He released a moan he hadn’t realised he had been holding in that came from his throat. His toes curled and he breathed deeply to negate any minor pains. They only lasted seconds and were a surprising turn on. "Damn tease" He murmured breathily, his lips curved with amusement.
“You better believe it” Athos replied with a grin, “We’re going to take our time and enjoy every moment of this” He ran his own finger around the edge of the candle to get a coating of wax on it, this would protect his skin, once that was dried he could then use it to protect his fingers when he dropped newly melted wax against other areas such as stomach and nipples and rubbed it over the skin. He had a feeling D’Artagnan might get very hot when he reached his chest.
“Rude.” He leaned up to bite at his lip in mock revenge when it came near. “Created a monster.” He shuddered visibly as the wax came into contact with the most sensitive areas of his skin. His head fell gently back against the couch cushions, fingertips biting at Athos’s shoulders. His breathing became more labored with each heated caress, his muscles aching for more than just a taste he pressed against him. One of his toned legs tangling with Athos’s own. His skin tingled under the heat and his eyes closed partially as it felt almost what he imagined a natural high would be like. Nothing else around them mattered anymore, he could barely think straight.
It was an incredible turn on for Athos to see D’Artagnan lost in pleasure like this. Having him cling to Athos in such a desperate way and watching him as his breathing became more and more irregular. He finally moved onto his nipples, using only a small amount of wax along with his finger to spread the heated pleasure around them. Leaning in to press kisses against the skin too.
Dark hair clung to his skin as beads of sweat gathered on his forehead from a mixture of various temperatures ghosting along his flesh. Between the warmth of the wax and Athos’s lips he struggled to regain his bearings, but he wasn’t able. Athos had nearly driven him to the edge without even touching his cock. He bit his lip against the early release and drew a bit of blood. Athos’s name spilled from his lips as he tried to breathe properly again.
D’Artagnan looked utterly wrecked and Athos couldn’t help feeling rather proud about that. Moving over him he pressed a kiss to D’Artagnan’s lips, licking away the blood on his lip. “You are so beautiful” he breathed, pressing more kisses to his neck and shoulders before allowing the last few drips of wax to spill over D’Artagnan’s stomach before putting down the candle. He didn’t want to overwhelm him too much at once.
Athos ought to feel proud. Nobody had ever gotten this reaction out of him. He was at the point of raw reaction as Athos’ tongue met his lips, he brushed his own against it teasingly before his breath caught up with him and his lips curved upward into a pleased expression at the comment. “Love you.” Those last few bits of wax caused his hand to grip Athos’s shoulder a bit tighter then. “Can’t hold out much longer.”
“Love you too” he replied automatically but with feeling. He pressed more kisses to his skin before looking up through his lashes, “Don’t hold back love, feel it” he encouraged, fingers skimming along his sides and hips before stroking over the dried wax on his body.
He was going to need a shower later, but it was worth it. He was afraid even if Athos had wanted him to wait he wouldn’t be able. He was at his limit, D’Artagnan released with little effort and a wave of relief washed over him. He was able to breathe normally again with his muscles relaxing. A content moan escaped him as he lay back for a moment, his hand reaching up to Athos’s chest to stroke the toned muscles there and drew him into a deep kiss.
Athos would make sure he got a shower later, with him if he had anything to say about it. He rather enjoyed soaping up D’Artagnan’s lithe body, and took a great deal of time and care over it. He pressed gentle kisses to D’Artagnan’s skin as he came then went into his arms easily when he was pulled in for a kiss, “I think that was a success” he said smiling against his lips.
“Mm you have no idea. But we can’t just leave you.” His arms wrapped around Athos’s neck, as much as he just wanted to lie there and be satisfied he also wanted to do something for him. He sucked at his lower lip gently and let his fingertips brush against the skin at the back of his neck. D’Artagnan wasn’t about to turn down shower time with Athos, he enjoyed the attention. “What to do about that.” He commented in a soft tone as he kissed from his lips to his jaw where he found a patch of skin to suck at.
“I think I have some idea” Athos replied with a deep chuckle which turned to a moan as D’Artagnan began to suck at his skin. “Oh” he gasped and smiled, “I’m sure you’ll come up with something. You do have a wonderful imagination” he let his head tilt to allow D’Artagnan better access to his jaw and neck.
