Who: Irisa and Myrcella What: Makeover! Where: Their house When: Start of Feb Rating: Low/None Status: Complete
Irisa was was dreading this. Myrcella was having her way with her and pasting make - up all over her face and messing with her hair. Or at least that's what she was expecting. She'd never had anything like this done to her before so anything could happen. Sitting on Myrcella's bed with a glass of water in her hand, she waited apprehensively to be told what to do.
Myrcella could tell Irisa was nervous, but she wasn’t about to cake her in make-up and make her look awful, she was going to subtly enhance what her beautiful friend already had. Irisa had the most wonderful skin and hair and Myrcella had been itching to get her hands on it. But she hadn’t liked to push since she knew Irisa wasn’t a fan of this kind of thing.
“Thank you for helping me out” she said, “Stop looking so worried” she added, “It’s not torture I promise”
"No problem," Irisa shrugged. "You know I'd do anything to help you out," she smiled at her friend. "So uh...what's your plan? What sort of makeover am I going to get?" She took a sip of her water as she watched her friend getting ready for whatever she had in store.
“Just a simple, nice clean look” Myrcella told her, “Nothing too eccentric or unlike you I promise. We’ll just highlight your natural beautiful looks. You have a gorgeous bone structure”
Irisa ducked her head at the compliments. She’d never been good at accepting them, but that could probably be attributed to growing up as more of a tomboy than a pretty girl. “And you’re going to take photos of the end result? Which are going to be for your eyes only? Well, yours and your teacher’s,” she asked.
Myrcella nodded, “I won’t show them to anybody else. I promise” she said, “Even though I think you should show them off” she grinned at her friend.
“Are you kidding? If Nolan saw pictures of me in make-up I’d never live it down” Irisa told her wryly. “And think of all the street cred I’d lose,” she joked. Hopping off the bed, she moved to put her glass on a side table and turned to look at Myrcella. “So, where do you want me?” she asked, holding her hands out to the side and waiting for instruction.
“No way” Myrcella said, “Everybody would be amazed that this beautiful girl can kick their asses” she grinned. “And I’m sure Nolan would be really proud of you for stepping out of your comfort zone to help me out”
Myrcella appreciated her friend doing this and she’d make sure to make her a nice dinner as a thank you. “Okay come sit at my vanity table but face me instead of the mirror”
“Yeah, but he wouldn’t let me forget it,” Irisa grumbled quietly as she moved over to the vanity table Myrcella had indicated. Sitting down, she turned to look up at her friend. “Do I...do I need to do anything?” she asked, used to moving around and doing something.
“I’m afraid not” Myrcella said almost apologetically, “You just need to sit there and let me do my thing. Okay?” she knew her friend was used to moving around a lot. But Myrcella just needed her to sit still for now.
“Okay,” Irisa swallowed and settled herself more into her seat, taking a deep breath. “So uh...is Jeremy doing ok?” she asked. She didn’t know much about Jeremy since when he came over she tended to retire to her room or go out to give them some time alone.
“Yeah he’s good. You don’t have to disappear when he comes over you know” Myrcella told her, retrieving a wipe to run over Irisa’s face to remove any oils or anything that could affect the application of the make-up. “He has trouble with his dreams sometimes so he prefers not sleeping alone when possible”
“I figured you guys wouldn’t want me hanging around,” Irisa shrugged, closing her eyes as Myrcella wiped over her face. It was actually quite a soothing feeling. “Y’know, I don’t want to be an awkward third wheel, besides I bet you guys like having the time to...canoodle,” she replied with a little grin.
“It’s your home too, at least until Nolan comes back anyway. Don’t feel like you can’t do what you like” Myrcella said, before tickling her nose a little with the wipe, “We can canoodle in my room so don’t worry about that”
Irisa huffed a laugh at that and wiped at her nose as if it would stop the tickling feeling. “How long have you guys been together now anyway?” she asked, opening her eyes to watch what Myrcella was doing next. “Is he going to move in here?”
“About a year and a half” Myrcella replied as she retrieved the base to cover Irisa’s skin lightly preparing it to receive the make-up. “I’d like him to but his Aunt and her daughter need him right now” Jeremy’s Aunt and Uncle were going through a breakup and Jeremy didn’t feel right leaving her for now.
Irisa nodded at that, Jeremy was a nice boy but she didn't feel she knew him that well. "You know that when he's ready I won't be a problem, right? I can move out and find somewhere else to stay," she reassured her friend. She didn't want to impede any progress their relationship might make.
“If Jeremy moves in I don’t expect you to move out, in fact I don’t want you to. I’d be rather insulted if you thought I’d want you to” Myrcella told her, moving onto the next part of the application protest.
Irisa quirked a little smile at her friend. “Thanks,” she muttered. “I didn’t think you would, but I figured I should at least offer to avoid any awkward situations,” she shrugged, letting Myrcella carry on with whatever she was doing. “Do you think you’ll get married? Have kids?”
“There would be no awkward situations, I promise” Myrcella said, continuing to work on Irisa, focusing easily as she continued their conversation. “I hope so. When I think of my future all I see is Jeremy and I’d like kids. A family of my own”
Irisa smiled a little at that. “You’d make a good mom. Teach them cooking and make-up and how to be the nicest kid on the planet,” she told Myrcella, her eyes still closed as her friend worked. “What do you think Jeremy would teach your kids?”
“Thank you Irisa” Myrcella said blushing but touched. “He’d teach them to be strong, while keeping true to themselves. He’d be a wonderful dad. And of course, Auntie Irisa would no doubt be the most fun Aunt”
Irisa looked and gave her a dubious look. "Fun? You have met me right?" She joked, but she was incredibly touched that Myrcella would include her in her little family. She gave it a little thought before suggesting, "I know! I could teach them to play with knives!"
“Oh come on. You will be the coolest Auntie a kid could wish for” Myrcella said, because when all was said and done Irisa was Myrcella’s best friend and would be for life. “When they’re at a point where they won’t accidentally stab themselves yes you can” she replied calmly.
Irisa opened her gleeful eyes at the prospect and she was suddenly filled with all the possibilities of being what she could teach Myrcella’s children. All the fighting skills she was learning from Alucard and the survival skills Nolan had taught her. There were so many possibilities! “Your kid is going to be awesome!”
