Mary couldn't help but bite her lip, her nerves seeping to the surface as she watched the man's brows raise. For a moment she thought perhaps she had confronted the wrong person and that just maybe the other, older gentleman across the room was the one she was looking for. Unwillingly and slightly frantic, her eyes glanced around the library quickly and landed back on him, hoping she wasn't wrong and that embarrassement would not follow suit.
Her lips curved into a slight smile and her eyes calmed; The man in front of her was in fact whom she was looking for. A small sigh of relieve left her mouth followed by a silent thank you in her head before she began speaking once more. She nodded, "I am, yes. It's nice to meet you, Mr. Coldwater." Mary smiled more, her eyes following the chair he had motioned for her to sit down at. She quickly walked over to the chair, pulled it out, and sat down across from him. As he put his novel up, she grabbed her US History book out of her bag and laid it in front of her.
A light chuckle filled the space though she wasn't quite sure what she was actually laughing about. "Thank you," she looked up at him with a smile. "It's actually been much better than I thought it would be," she stated, a slight grin on her face.
