"Yes! The snow was a bit of a surprise, but one we can live with being Londoners ourselves. Still, a bit odd; maybe we threw off the world's balance by having so many of us show up here. anyway, right, the tour... follow me..." Troy then stopped, almost immediately as he looked around, "Right, well, I suppose first we have the living room here. You've likely figured that out. Nothing too special, just a couple pieces of furniture, some plants..."
He shrugged, looking to her as he realized the tour was going to be extremely boring; still, he gestured towards the kitchen, "Kitchen's there, tea should be ready soon. I also ran out and bought some turnovers... cherry, is that good? I never know what to have with tea in this country. No one has a Jammie Dodger anywhere." He sighed then moved towards the stairs, then past them where a hallway opened up. Following it towards the two rooms he gestured to the one that was simply a bathroom, then opened up the other which opened to a corner room with a decent view of the LA night sky.
"This is my pride and joy really. The study. It's not huge, but it's my makeshift library," The room was full of books on the bookshelves, and a couple of over-stuffed comfy chairs situated near the window. There was a globe in the middle of the room as well, and it was obvious this hadn't been made to be a library, but he'd done his due diligence and made it work.
"I have my office upstairs, but it's nice to have a room to just break away and read. Don't get to read for fun much anymore, always for work really..." He then smiled, looking to her, "Speaking of. Rose wanted to set up a book club, and I told her that I figured you and John might be interested. And I know you can't speak for John, but how about yourself?"
