And all it took was Troy opening the door and hugging her for Clara to feel some of her tension melt away. Which was typical of them, really. They'd been closer in age than her and John, and they had their own things to bond over that John hadn't understood. The dynamics between the family altered depending on the pairings but Clara had always felt a kinship with Troy that wasn't there with anyone else. The rest of the family was probably relieved that they weren't closer in age or adopted by the same family because they had gotten into enough trouble as it were without adding them being inseparable to the mix.
"Hi!"
Smiling brightly, the petite brunette (seriously, why were they all so freakishly tall compared to her 5'2?!) wrapped her arms around Troy and returned the hug. Just as it had seemed to hit how long it had been since seeing John when they'd met up, the same was true in regards to seeing Troy after all this time. All this time being his journey to the States while she had remained in London and then picking a job in London instead of traveling abroad to work initially.
While her worries weren't gone, Clara was presently more focused on being reunited with Troy and looking around his flat once he let her inside.
"It's definitely chilly, though not unlike London. I still can't believe there was snow here, though!" Because really. Snow in Southern California. All the movies at the cinema always painted the area as always warm, same with television shows. Snow was not on the mix for what she had anticipated for the first week or so she'd finally been in the area setting up for the start of her job at Creekside.
Even though it wasn't much, it was still something and so Clara grinned up at Troy and nodded.
"Show away, Troy."
Might as well give him an excuse to show off his place. It definitely felt like Troy. She'd be able to pick out something of his in a heartbeat. Though she also was pretty observant about all of the different family members and could read them. Which..also could get interesting when she picked up on things they didn't want her to know. But it was in their eyes. All she had to do was look in their eyes and know.
