Deep down on a logical level, Clara knew that she was being irrational. It was a thing with her, really. Especially when it came to things she couldn't control. Not to mention she worried. She worried a lot when it came to family and losing said family. A therapist once said that the impact of losing both her parents at once while young had a deep impact on her development and how she reacted to the thought that something was wrong. She thought it was rubbish at the time, though it was probably because it was a mandated session. Now? Now she wasn't so sure. It made sense... the loss of Samuel, what she kept locked away because no one could fix it... it only compacted the issue.
So random health issues like burning sensations while thinking about dreams? Yeah. She worried and fretted and got John to get an MRI. On Tuesday. After Tuesday, she'd know if she was being completely irrational or if her worry had been founded and then... then she didn't know. Figure out from there she supposed. And now Troy was having the dreams. Though he seemed of the belief that they were just dreams and nothing like what people were talking about on the boards. People were really fascinated by the dreams on the boards. It was something to look into. Something to distract and well, she and Troy would come up with 'adventures' when they were younger. Mostly to annoy her dad, but it was still fun and could be interesting to go into here.
And her dad with his suddenly showing up with no warning. Clara had already had her freak out about that by storming into John's office since he worked ten minutes from her. Embarrassing. And still no closer to finding out what the man wanted.
By the time she got to Troy's, Clara was... well, she didn't know. Excited because she hadn't seen Troy since he left. Worried because she was beginning to equate the term dreams with potential health risks and loss of family. Really, it was just a myriad emotions and she had to keep her hand on the wheel of her car and shake her head some.
"It's nothing. All of this is nothing, you're just working yourself up. New place, new country and things you don't have answers to."
It was a pep talk because well, she needed it and the brunette blew out a breath before grabbing her bag and getting out, locking the car and going to Troy's, announcing her arrival with a firm knock.
