Jean laughed again, shrugging. "Pray for an outage, mostly. But I live in a pretty residential area. The light pollution isn't quite as terrible, and if you're looking towards the ocean it's... well, it's still better to go to the observatory. I just do my best."
She looked out the window, almost longingly. "Sometimes I think about going to Colorado or Montana or something, just for a week. Sleep during the day and just look at the stars all night until it's time to come home. I know, it probably sounds crazy. I should have been an astronaut or something."
