Time was a funny thing. Minutes could slip through your fingers like grains of sand or sometimes those passing particles were truly hours and before you knew it, an entire day was lost. Time, however, seemed to drag at a snail's pace when one was behind the wheel of an automobile anywhere near Los Angeles. Cars were a necessary evil in this town and traffic was a given.
And being fifteen minutes late—hopefully—was forgivable.
The bells strung above the cafe's entrance chimed cheerfully as he pushed the door inward, his eyes immediately scanning the smattering of tables and their occupants for anyone who resembled the girl pictured in the small network icons. She was most certainly ginger, he was hoping that would make it easy.
Lone ginger at a table for two without a beverage... as though she was waiting for someone? He had to be right.
"Jean?" His brow arched quizzically, waiting for a spark of recognition before a broad smile captured his expression and he stretched out his hand towards her. "Doctor Jean Grey, yes, brilliant. An absolute pleasure to meet you in person. It's all quite curious meeting someone from the whole blogging thing, never really done it before. Brand new, something of an adventure. I quite like adventures... and tea. Fancy a cup? My treat, since I've kept you waiting. It's only fair, I might be tardy, but I fancy myself at least fair."
