Troy may have noticed the way she talked about John, or better yet, the way she looked when talking about him; yet, Troy was a tiny bit oblivious to such things as it were, and so it went sailing above his head in a rather graceful fashion. Bowing his head to her in a nod, he grinned, "Boxes would be ideal for a fort, as it will need walls. Though I might have to pass on the building of one, I seem to be a failure at the art of architecture. Never my strongest field."
Troy let his grin settle, then nodded his head, "Well then, if you're not planning on going to school, living with John would be an amazing and brilliant way of going about things. I'm sure he'll give you a wealth of knowledge, in his own confusing way of course. I am glad he foudn such a good friend out here though, it's always helpful when living in a new area."
The question about California forced him to think a moment, then finally he shrugged, "So far it's been alright; leaves a bit to be desired when it comes to the weather though, which was kind of the exact opposite of what I was figuring. Still, it's been great, fun, exhilarating in many ways... it's definitely a new challenge, and I love my students. Very eager, so that part's good. The novel still isn't quite coming along, but I do hope some inspiration from the center of creativity helps me out."
