If the subject had to change--and clearly, it did--Obi found himself strangely relieved that that this was the vein Loras had chosen. He felt no less feeble or loopy, but the little smile that appeared could only be described as fond. "Yes," he said. "There are two, actually. Twins."
He pulled up the memory of the infant boy in his arms, and took comfort in recalling that moment of incomparable joy and warmth, even if it had lasted no more than a second.
"Just because someone dies in a dream doesn't mean anything is going to happen to them here, Loras." His voice was quiet, but confidant. He really believed was he was saying. After all, Obi had seen his own death, as well; and it seemed nothing but inconsequential. Maybe that was why he'd yet to speak of it with anyone. But he wasn't about to bring it up now.
