It occurred to Loras that Obi-Wan was ofttimes adept at keeping a stoicity about him, but that around certain people, his guard was only slightly down, enough for Loras to recognize the subtle shift of expression that belied Obi's offhanded way of withholding the whole truth.
Obi didn't need to finish. Loras knew it from that expression. He suddenly didn't want his orange juice, and it wasn't because of some woman he didn't know in some far off planet that Obi-Wan inhabited. He forced himself not to reach into his pocket and check for another text from Renly.
"So she died?" he asked, looking up from his orange juice. "This woman who was having the baby?" His stomach churned a little as he asked the question and wondered if it wasn't the woman at all.
