Who: Peter King & Rose Tyler What: Interview! When: Friday afternoon Where: John Wayne Airport Warnings: Shouldn't be any! Status: In Progress
The timing was too perfect. Rose had been trying to find a second job for weeks now, with nothing coming up. Sure, there was a shoppe job here and there, but she was trying to find something different. And different just seemed to recently pop up.
When she saw Peter's post, she almost thought it was too good to be true. Airline stewardess? Being able to fly around the country? It seemed perfect! Sure, she had seen some of the things they had to put up with, but it might be neat at the same time. Plus, Peter seemed to be a nice enough fellow, enough so that she hoped she would be flying the skies with him.
Silly! Don't think too much into it. It's just an interview. INTERVIEW! She glanced at her image in the mirror, fluffing her hair a bit and pursing her lips together. Interview. Right. Confident. It's going to be fine. She gave a smile to the mirror before rushing out the door and heading to her bus stop.
With the strange weather, the ten minute drive took 30 minutes instead. Stepping outside, she hugged her jacket closer to her and looked around for the cart driver Peter had told her about. It wasn't long until she saw someone coming her way and she gave a little wave, letting them know she was waiting.
"Cheers mate!" she said cheerfully as she climbed in. It wasn't too much of a walk, but with the snow flurries, the extra little speed made all the difference. She thanked the driver before walking inside, rubbing her hands together. She approached the nearest security guard, a smile on her face.
After introducing herself and dropping Peter's name, they scanned her bags and she was given her pass. She walked away from security and looked down at her phone, the conversation with Peter still on it. She followed all the directions and arrived at what she hoped to be the employee lounge.
"Hello! I'm Rose Tyler, I have an interview with Peter King?"
