"I know. You said that." He'd been listening and he knew what words were being said - he wasn't ready to accept the apology yet, but he just wasn't processing the request until he was asked to forge a type of relationship he wasn't familiar with.
"I don't know. I don't- I don't have any." Confessed softly, not because it was something shameful or embarrassing he had to admit, but because he'd tried to think about all the relationships he had had with people in the past and none of them could really be considered friendships. The idea of having someone there who was close but not intimate and not expecting any sort of sexual remuneration from him was quite nice, but Brandon didn't think he was able to reciprocate. If Ben needed someone firm and steady whom he could rely on, he had knocked on the wrong door.
"If... if you ever cut yourself and bleed out all over the floor I'll come get you," Brandon offered. That's what friends did, right?
