"Unffff," was Neal's response, groggy from his nap earlier - since taking a walk up and down the hall with the IV pole was quite a feat, and had tired him out. But he wanted to leave, so he was doing his best to convince the doctors and nurses that he was fine and could go home to finish recovering there. Though that was hardly what he really had planned.
Sitting up, he grinned at the sight of the gift basket - and zeroed in on the tequila, reaching over rummaging through like a kid on Christmas morning. "I have a wedding to go to tomorrow, so I'll probably check out then - or jump out the window, either one - and I plan to go back to work Monday but we'll see how it goes."
He was glad good ol' Jas actually came by. "How about you, dream anything new lately?"
