Kitty stretched, getting up from her computer to get some coffee. She was a little excited. And frightened. And worried. And excited. She might have something for Neena and Pete soon. She fired off a text, then walked into the kitchen.

There was another pressing matter. How was she going to deal with Illyana?

Xi'an entered the kitchen and slipped her arms around Kitty's waist. "Hey," she said. "How's your day?"

A shiver ran down her spine and she leaned back in Xi'an's arms. She felt an unnecessary level of smug happiness. And probably an unnecessary level of arousal at Xi'an's touch. Or at least a faint buzzy feeling, "Mmm...hacking things I shouldn't, and I just found out an old friend is in town. So pretty good!"

Xi'an chuckled and nuzzled Kitty's neck. "Mm. Sounds fun. And running into friends is nice. Did you get to catch up on a lot of things?" It was nice that Kitty had an old acquaintance whom she was happy to see.

"Yeah, haven't seen her in awhile." She arched her neck to give Xi'an more access, closing her eyes, "And uhm..god that's distracting..well she kind of needs a place to stay for awhile, and we do have that extra room now..."

Xi'an nipped gently at Kitty's neck. "That's a good idea, actually. It'll help you two reconnect. And she'll have a nice place to stay without having to spend everything on it."

"I love you," Kitty breathed, stroking her fingers along Xi'an's arms. "And here I was ready to bribe you." There was the fact that Illyana was cute, and sweet, and she might have had a bit of a girlcrush on her back in the day.

Xi'an chuckled. "This is clearly someone you get along well with. And you wouldn't be asking if she didn't really need the help."

"I don't think she has any place to live right now at all." She shifted back against Xi'an a little needfully, "You're the best girlfriend, you know that?"

"Then I am really glad we've got room to spare," Xi'an said. She smiled softly and gave Kitty a squeeze. "I can say the same about you."

Kitty spun around in Xi'an's arms and kissed her, "No really. I'm lucky." She nuzzled her, sliding her thumbs into Xi'an's waistband. She wanted to ask if she knew a Douglas Ramsey in her dreams, but she also didn't want to ruin the mood.

Xi'an nuzzled back. "I am so glad I met you," she said softly.

Kitty cupped Xi'an's face, "I'm glad I gave you a chance this time."

"So am I," Xi'an said. "So very glad."

Kitty nuzzled Xi'an again, "I should..get her before she decides to sleep on a bus...and before I sit you on the table and have an early dinner." She was already pushing Xi'an towards the table, "Well...I think I need a snack before I go." She was pretty certain Illyana wouldn't mind.

Xi'an kissed her and grinned. "I like the sound of that..."
