The end of her week ended completely different than it had started. The only thing Lydia was grateful about it for at the moment was the fact that trying to figure out how to deal with this took up more of her mind than anything else. Lydia figured she lucked out in that the person she was with wasn’t hard to get along with, but the strangeness of the entire situation was still difficult. The last time something weird happened, when everyone was falling basically comatose or having these horrifically vivid nightmares, Lydia hadn’t been affected and now it looks like it was her turn. She wasn’t sure if she would have preferred having the nightmares to being strangely... stuck to someone else. If there was a logical or scientific explanation for this, she hasn’t found it yet. “I should print out out my schedule,” Lydia said she she started packing away her notebook, computer and pen. “We can figure out how to make mine work with yours.” There were a few classes Lydia could afford to skip, and she had some exams coming up that she definitely couldn’t. Until they could figure out what was actually going on and how to stop it, Lydia mused that it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to plan ahead for this. The last thing that happened hadn’t gone on too long, but she didn’t want to risk it. Slinging her bag onto her shoulder and tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she wondered what was going on tonight. “Are we going back to your place?” If that was the case, she wanted to text Cora to keep her updated, and while she was thinking about Cora, she figured she should probably mention that she might need to head over there at any moment if she needed her and that seemed like something important to mention. Maybe she would save that for a little later, especially since it hasn’t even been decided where they were even going. Either way, it was sitting on the tip of her tongue. While she waited for an answer to her last question, Lydia found herself just looking at the man. As far as she knew, she has never met him and she didn’t think they ever talked over the network. He seemed nice enough but the truth was that Lydia didn’t really know much about him except his name and sort of what he did for a living. “What do you teach again?” She wasn’t sure if he had actually even told her or if he had and she’d forgotten. Lydia was thinking more clearly now and instead of being fuelled by panic, she was more curious than anything. It didn’t seem like such a bad idea to get to know the person she’s pretty much glued to. |
