Morgana loved the adventure that the last year had brought on. She had met a lot of different people. Tried new things. She'd helped Gwen. Or at least she had hoped she had. She new that Gwen was having a hard time here and she just hoped that some distance would help her heal. She couldn't stand to see her friend in such pain.
It was just over a year before they made their way back to the OC. Gwen had a job waiting for her after all. And honestly Morgana couldn't wait to see her brother and her best friend. She'd called and texted as much as possible but it wasn't the same. She couldn't wait to throw her arms around each of them!
Her first stop had been to her brother. She knew he was less than pleased with her but she thought she was doing what was best for Gwen. She hadn't wanted him to be hurt either. She was hoping her smile and charm could get her out of hot water as it always has in the past.
She put on her brightest smile before knocking on the door.
---
It wasn't as if she hadn't kept in touch, Morgana had made the effort, and Arthur hadn't cold shouldered her either, despite being very clear he'd thought her trip was a terrible idea. He'd replied promptly, been friendly and always made certain that his sister was alive and well- wherever the hell they currently were. Of course, by default it meant he knew Guinevere was all right too. He didn't directly contact his ex-girlfriend, after all he assumed that's how she'd wanted it to be.
He'd not bothered to ask whens, or whys or even not-so-subtly tried to press Morgana for information on Gwen and when they'd be home. Nope; both stubborn and proud, Arthur wasn't going to let show what he'd been feeling when he'd had a word from Guinevere herself. Anyway, asking after his ex-girlfriend all the time wasn't going to help him think less of her, was it?
Twelve months had passed since then, and he'd had no idea if was going to get an email from his sister saying she'd decided to live the rest of her life out in some remote Mediterranean. Island, so upon answering the door he was greeted by an utter surprise, and it showed on his face. She hadn't let him know she'd be home.
"Morgana- ..what-- when did you get back?"
--
To be honest Morgana figured not letting him know she was back was probably the best course of action. Morgana loved to make a memorable entrance after all. And what better way was there than surprising someone!
“Like two hours ago?” she answered, glancing at her phone. She’d spent the last year with Gwen. The only two people that were on her mind to see were Arthur and Merlin. Though she was fairly certain that she may have garnered herself a spot on Arthur’s list of people he’d least like to see. They were brother and sister though. That had to count for something, right?
“I’ve missed you!” Morgana told him, moving in for a hug. Whether he wanted the hug or not Morgana was prepared to take it. She was very skilled in getting what she wanted. She was much better at it with her father but sometimes it worked on Arthur too.

"I see." He eyed her with a faintly narrowed gaze. "'Spose you'd like to come in, would you?" He stepped aside to welcome her through, he might have held on to that annoyance since the day she'd left, but he wasn't going to treat her badly, she just might have to cope with him being in a bit of a mood.
As she indicated a hug Arthur did hesitate briefly, but soon enough relented, wrapping his arms around her in a quick hug. "Me too." He half-muttered with a slightly reluctant tone -- as if being forced to admit it was the truth and assuring her he was determined to be a little peeved.. "You're mental, you know that? Where the hell have you been? It's been a bloody year." It wasn't really a literal question; indeed they'd texted and emailed and even spoken over the phone since she'd left, but he'd chosen not to berate her then, just wait until she was back 'home'. "Gwen wasn't sure you'd be back so soon."
