"Nine sounds good," Dani nodded. She took his hand in hers and squeezed a bit, hoping he wouldn't flinch away from the sudden contact. She didn't want to go home. She didn't want to have to be alone. Inviting him back to her place was absolutely not on the table.
The hand squeeze was a momentary comfort she selfishly took to stave off the dread she was feeling. She dropped his hand before he could complain, though, and picked herself up off the ground, "See you then, Obi."
