Anyone who knew Lydia wouldn't have been surprised that she had more or less arranged a date within minutes of finding out and posting on a network she didn't even knew existed even a day ago. Without question, Lydia was confident, social and forward; all traits that never let her down this far into her life and she didn't anticipate that happening anytime soon either.
Regardless of whatever technical name this meeting would go under, Lydia was excited. She always loved meeting new people, especially the male kind. Like she'd said to the majority of people she had talked to about her school, it was insanely small in comparison to theirs which meant there weren't that many chances to see new faces. Because of that, Lydia liked to have friends in other schools and visit their campuses. She spent a lot of time at UC Irvine because of Cora, and she loved it. After her time on the network, she might have made a few new friends at the school too.
But right now, Lydia was dressed up in something casual, but obviously very nice because she never left the house without looking good. Her appearance was important to her, that was never going to change. As she walked into the coffee shop, she waved at the woman behind the counter who she knew really well by this point and looked around to see if Hiccup was already here. She noticed someone sitting by the door who looked like it could have been him and she walked up. "Hiccup," she asked with a smile, leaning forward just slightly.
