MCCOY - IRVINE GENERAL
McCoy had the weekend off. Of course he'd left his cell phone in his desk drawer when he left work on Friday afternoon, and head to pop back to the hospital to pick it up on Saturday. He had a land line coming into the condo, so he wasn't worried that Joanna might be trying to get ahold of him. She knew that he barely knew how to use his "smart phone" to begin with, and that calling him on the land line was a surefire way of getting his attention when he wasn't at work. Tonight he was planning on taking Elizabeth to the opening of that new Italian restaurant, and he wanted to make sure he had his phone. Just in case. In case of what? He wasn't sure. He was fairly confident that people survived before cell phones.
He headed into the hospital and was turning down hallways when he saw a familiar face.
