"They've never been easy," Lyanna replied, more to herself than to Ned. It was never easy for the Starks because Lyanna hadn't been able to keep it in her pants. She'd signed their parents death warrants.
"Ned..." Lyanna breathed, tilting her head compassionately as she saw how much pain this was causing him. She knew he was right though. Jon needed to know the truth no mater what happened... and well, she couldn't exactly disappear on her brother a second time. She wasn't going to either.
"I've met Cat. I was in your wedding." Lyanna hesitated for a moment. "I know your kids too. I mean, I don't know them, but I've kept tabs on the whole family. You must be so proud of Robb. He's grown up to be a wonderful man and Jon? A lawyer. Who knew someone who came from me could grow up to be a lawyer? That's all thanks to you." Sure, she was buttering him up, but it didn't make it any less true.
