The whole magic advantage proved to be strangely...therapeutic. It involved the understanding of laws, the way words came into play with incantations, the specific hand movements some spells required for a successful casting - it almost had a scientific method of its own. Practicing it all yesterday, trying out new things, perfecting older ones let her think more clearly than she'd been in the last week.
Possibly because the entire last week was also lost to her in some drunken haze. Funny how things just seemed a little more clear when you were sober. Still not giving up the booze, she thought to herself.
She'd arranged the entire thing to get Xelloss' window repaired. At first she was pretty reluctant about it, but the anger had subsided. So did some of the resentment. Some, of course, being the keyword. Lina wasn't sure if there was even ever a chance to salvage whatever they had - even back then, with the way things were run, it was all still damaging to the both of them. But years had passed, they were older, and things changed.
Although she hoped some things stayed the same.
"You're pretty easy to find. I'm not sure if you do that on purpose or not," she said as she approached him and the car. She carried something of a purse and in her hands was medium-sized box that looked like it held a pastry of sorts. "Got the name of the place you can bring your car to. It's paid for already."
