WHO: Everyone! WHAT: Damon and Elena's wedding reception WHERE: The Orange County Heritage Museum WHEN: June 25th, around 6 p.m. RATING: Keep it low!
By the time the wedding party was finished with photos--and there were plenty of them--the guests were already getting the celebrations started with cocktails and appetizers that were straight up Italian, thanks to Enzo and his family catering the event. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, enjoying the evening air and the beautiful, classic venue that the couple of the day had picked out. It was as perfect as they had wanted and a big change from the beach, though it certainly reflected Damon and Elena's tastes.
When the couple was ready to make an entrance with their bridesmaids and groomsmen, one of the employees at the party went up to the DJ and gave him a heads up. Slowly, he turned the music down and picked up the mic. "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. I hope you're all enjoying the gorgeous evening weather out here in the O.C. ...And the alcohol too, of course." There was a laugh from some of the guests and the DJ gave a smile. "But let's not forget the reason we're here, celebrating the marriage of a very beautiful couple. I'm sure you all know them: Damon and Elena Salvatore. So let's give them a very warm welcome to their party. And let's grab them some champagne!"
Elena put her arm in Damon's and held onto her bouquet in her free hand, smiling up at her lover. She was aware of the bridesmaids and groomsmen moving out onto the patio and the guests clapping and whistling. It was soon their own turn and the girl was still grinning as they moved outside from the main building, the new bride waving her bouquet. She wasn't overly surprised when friends came over to congratulate the happy couple since they hadn't had the chance right after the ceremony. She welcomed each of them with open arms, hugs, and kisses on the cheek. But now it was time for a well-deserved drink.
