Erik hates to be a cliché, sitting by the fire with his tea and fretting while his wife is out living her life. But Gaz does get up to some dangerous things, and even if she can heal faster than should be humanly possible, Erik worries.

So while Gaz is out, he decides to make dinner for them both, and to feed Aisha and Gaz's piglet. At least that will keep him busy.

"If you feel you must, but I'm sure you're fine. Nothing that would bother -- " As he comes out into the hall to greet her, he freezes at the sight of her clothes, torn practically to shreds and covered in blood.

"Gazlene, my love, what on earth has happened to you?" He rushes to take her into his arms and holds her tight, kissing her hair and clinging to her like she might vanish if he lets go.

	"Knowing that you can't die suggests you had someone try to kill you." His fingers dig into her back to the point of bruising her, if it were possible to leave lasting bruises. He wants to wring the neck of whoever agreed to go along with this, and though he's relieved that no harm has come to her, the thought of someone hurting his beloved makes him furious. "Why, because I'm just as terrible as you are when angered?" Erik teases gently and kisses her hair.

"I'm terrified of losing you, too. I hoped that marrying you might help ease those fears, but it's just made them stronger. Not that you'd leave me, not as much that, but that something would take you from me.

So I'm glad, in the end, that you're indestructible. It will help me worry less. But it doesn't help the urge to throttle whoever you tested this theory out with."
