"In our dreams, we can't be together, obviously, and there's always some threat from somewhere so everything we do is always exciting and dangerous," Loras answered, sounding wistful. "Now there's none of that and it's all so showy with the cocktail parties and being like the queer poster boys."
There was a certain distaste in Loras' tone that even he didn't like. "I know I ought to be grateful for it, but I'm just bored with it, and being married would just take away all the elements of surprise and danger, and then what else is there?"
