Leonard McCoy and OTA
Back to back surgeries today. McCoy wasn't looking forward to it. Normally, he'd schedule them for first thing in the morning, but for some reason the first today couldn't be scheduled for earlier than two, and the second had to be today. It was some beaurocratic nonsense about policies overlapping and insurance rates changing. Whatever. Bullshit.
So McCoy needed four or five shots of espresso in a large, large cup of black coffee. Something to wake him up and keep him awake and alert for as long as humanly possible. He stepped into the bakery and into the line, debating getting himself a pastry for breakfast.
