WHO Davina, Henrik, Marcel
WHAT meeting Marcel
WHEN Early evening.
WHERE Marcel and Davina's place
RATING PG
STATUS Incomplete

With the address put into the gps it wasn’t hard to find the house.

Henrik left his house with plenty of time to make it to Davina’s house. He didn’t want to get there too early but there was no way he was going to be late. He didn’t want to make a bad first impression on Marcel. After all, the reason that he was going over was to meet him in person so that he could go with Davina to prom.

As he turned onto the street her house was he realized how nervous he was. He had never met a girl’s father. To be honest, he had never been on date which he hadn’t told Davina.

He drove by the house and turned off the gps. There was still time to drive around a little before he had to be there. He didn’t want to go up to the door and lose his ability to speak because of his nervousness. It was another ten minutes before he finally drove up into the driveway.

“Well, here it goes,” he said as he turned off the ignition and stepped out of the car.

No more hesitation. He walked over to the door and rang the doorbell.

To say that Davina was excited about the possibility of going to the prom was an understatement. The last thing she'd expected while talking to Henrik was the he'd ask her to the prom, but she simply couldn't say no when he asked. He hadn't been to his own proms and being shy, it was rare that Davina clicked with someone the way she'd clicked with Henrik, so there was no way she could have said no.

Of course the only way she was going to be aloud to go to the prom with Henrik was if Marcel approved of him. She didn't see a reason why he wouldn't, so she really hoped that Marcel liked him and that Henrik wouldn't be too nervous about meeting Marcel. She was in the den, reading when she heard the doorbell and wanting to be the one to greet him at the door, she set her book down quickly and headed towards the door, pulling it open as she reached it, smiling, "Hi."

As soon as he rang the door bell he thought about what if Davina didn't answer. He knew that it was a possibility but some part of him thought it would be better if she answered. That way she could introduce them or ease him into meeting Marcel.

He took a breath as the door started to open.

With a smile across his face as he saw Davina in the doorway. "Hey," he said slightly pitchy and he coughed. "Hey." He repeated it in his normal tone of voice.

Marcel knew this time was coming and it would be coming sooner rather than later, still, part of him didn't want to admit that his girl was growing up and finding interest in dating and apparently being around boys. He had to be protective. He knew just how big of jerks his gender could be--not that he was going to automatically assume Henrik was a bad kid, because he didn't seem like it. There was still a test to pass and first impressions to make.

He heard the doorbell go off where he was sitting in his office, and Marcel set down some papers from his work and slowly got up, heading out and down towards the front door that Davina had already answered. He saw the kid hanging out on their front step, looking pretty nervous, even with that smile. "Come on in, Henrik," he said in a tone that sounded at least somewhat welcoming.

"Hi." Davina said again, still smiling and was just about to ask Henrik to come in when she heard Marcel's voice behind her. Turning towards her Foster Father, she smiled again and moved aside to allow Henrik room to come inside so that this wouldn't all be taking place on the front porch. She wasn't entirely sure how to proceed from here, considering they'd kind of been introduced to each other on Valarnet.

Turning back to Henrik and closing the door once he was inside, she bit her bottom lip for a moment, "Henrik, this is my Foster father, Marcel. Marcel, this is Henrik." She'd decided to go along with the introductions anyway in an attempt to keep things from getting awkward.

Henrik wasn't sure that this was the best idea. Not that he wasn't excited about going to prom with Davina. It was just that he wasn't sure about meeting her dad. He had never met a girl's dad before, not one that he was going to take out. He wasn't sure how it would go. From television shows he saw that the daughter's father always hated the guy she saw.

That was him.

He was hoping that it went better than it did in his mind.

Quickly stepping into the house when Marcel asked him too. "Hey... I mean hello, sir," he said as he held out his hand.
