WHO: Marcel Gerard & Katherine Pierce Gilbert WHAT: Out on what is probably a date WHERE: Seafood restaurant in L.A. WHEN: 19th, evening RATING: Low STATUS: In progress
Davina had been getting on his case for quite a while on not even attempting to date, even before they had, had their eyes set on leaving for California. It wasn't that he didn't want to meet a nice woman, it was just the fact that he hadn't had any luck. There had been a few that had liked him because of his looks and his money, some that had been after sex, and even a few that had decided to split at the fact he had a foster daughter. After all of that, he hadn't wanted to try, becoming focused on work and keeping Davina happy. But since they were somewhere new and Marcel was very much out of his element, he figured he might...try. At least once.
He'd learned that Katherine Gilbert was a California native, she had a twin sister and a younger brother, she was a little egotistical (which was alright), and she seemed to enjoy the finer things in life. At least that was the vibe he got off of her. She also had a sense of style about her and she carried herself well--something which couldn't go unnoticed. He was only a man and Katherine was an attractive young woman.
As the evening was winding down, Marcel had managed to find them a nice seafood restaurant in L.A. to sit down at, eat some food, and talk a bit more. They had a great table by a window and some nice wine ordered with their meals on the way. Even if Marcel was craving something Cajun, he'd resisted trying to go near any restaurant out here that claimed they knew how to do it. He'd be content with some salmon instead. At least he had good company.
"Hope I haven't bored you today," he said while reaching for his wine glass and taking a sip. He was typically more of a hard liquor kind of guy, but this would do. He'd talked a lot about home, his job as a paralegal, a little about his teenaged foster daughter, Davina. Katherine hadn't seemed too put off by anything.
