Who: Aurora and Hua Mulan
What: Horseback Riding Date
When: Backdated: Friday, April 11th. Afternoon
Where: Horseback Riding Stables
Rating: Family Friendly
Status: Complete

It had been a long time since Aurora had been horseback riding, but she’d managed to get up in the saddle easily, without falling off, so that was a plus. Now she just had to stay up on the horse and hope that her horse didn’t get spooked by anything. That would be embarrassing, if she got thrown or something. Things had been going pretty well between her and Mulan ever since the porno over the phone incident. They’d gone out to eat the weekend after that and Aurora had only spent a few moments blushing when she’d first seen the other woman, so that had been a good sign.

Now, they’d decided to do something different on this next date and somehow horseback riding had gotten brought up, so after a little research, they’d found a place and were currently riding along a trail with a guide ahead of them, “Are you having a good time?” She asked, glancing over at Mulan.

Mulan even had a basket packed, with food and a blanket (not that she was expecting anything but lunch, but when she’d seen Aurora her mind had gone there a bit). She was wearing comfortable jeans and the kind of shirt that flattered her in a very swashbuckling sort of way. She smiled at her date and nodded her head. “I’m having a great time.”

Aurora returned the smile, happy that Mulan was having a good time, “I’m glad.” She turned back to pay attention to the guide for a moment before glancing back at Mulan again, “Have you been horseback riding before?”

“Not in this life.” There wasn’t much cause for her back home, and she’d spent ten years in the Middle-east. So not too much opportunity. “I’ve missed them.”

“Well, hopefully this will be a good first experience.” It did almost feel like the dreams and riding through the Enchanted Forest except this time Aurora was wearing jeans instead of a dress, which made it much easier to ride. “I haven’t done this in years, myself.”

“Hopefully we have lots of good first experiences,” Mulan joked, her ear tips tinging red. She stared straight ahead. “Then I’m glad we decided to do this.”

Aurora bit her bottom lip at Mulan’s comment and dropped her gaze slightly, but could still see the other woman, “That’d be nice.” She had thought that after the porno over the phone incident, it’d be harder to look Mulan in the eye or to just be around her at all, but she actually felt a little more at ease around her now; like she could embarrass herself, but Mulan would never laugh at her or cause her to feel more embarrassed, not to mention, she got embarrassed herself over things that Aurora wouldn’t have thought she would.

Mulan had been around men so long that she could take a lot of jokes and comments about pretty girls with a straight face, but one minute around Aurora and her composure completely went away. It was like the woman had an open path straight to her heart.

She edges her horse closer to Aurora’s and reached over to pat her leg. “It will be…”

“Again, you’re trying to make me blush,” Aurora’s cheeks were flushed, but she had a small smile upon her lips. Before she could say much else, the guide told them they were going to trot along the part of the trail they were on and showed them how to get the horses to trot.

“If I could get you alone long enough, I’d show you how I wish to make you flushed,” Mulan said, feeling incredibly bold.

Aurora’s eyes widened slightly at that and she flushed again as her horse started trotting along the path. She was pretty sure that it was Mulan’s task in life to make her blush as much as possible.

It was a task that Mulan was suited to. She laughed to herself and trotted along with Aurora. The motion of the horse and Aurora being within a hundred feet made her a little warm inside.

They trotted for a little while up the path before coming to a clearing littered with wild flowers, where the guide had them stop the horses, “This is beautiful,” Aurora said as she gazed around at the various flowers then turned to Mulan, “Reminds me even more of the Enchanted Forest.” She said it so only the other woman would hear and not the guide. She didn’t want the guide to think she was crazy after all.

“It really does, I only hope it’s nothing like it.” The Enchanted Forest was beautiful, but full of danger, and while a part of her would relish a good fight, she was in a different sort of mood. “And there are more beautiful things in this world than forests.” She smiled at Aurora.

Aurora recalled the various dangerous things they had encountered so far in the Enchanted Forest, in the dreams and shuddered slightly, “I like it a lot better here than there.” Of course her cheeks flushed once more when Mulan spoke, “Will you stop.” Despite her words, her lips turned up into a small smirk, “My face is going to be permanently red if you keep it up.”

“Do you really want me to stop?” Mulan was genuinely worried she’d stepped out of line. “I’m afraid my self-control around you is little to none.”

Aurora didn’t think that Mulan had crossed a line and in fact, she liked the attention, because it wasn’t like the attention that most guys gave her. It wasn’t blatantly lewd or annoying, “I’m only teasing you,” She gave Mulan a smile to show that she was alright then the guide told them that they were going to rest there for a few minutes, “Should we get down and walk around then?”

"Can we?" Mulan was already dismounting and securing her horse. She held out her hand for the other woman, trying to be chivalrous without drawing attention to them. She didn't want any catcalls and she wanted to talk to her with a little privacy.

Aurora took Mulan’s hand as she dismounted, landing on her feet then secured her own horse, “Where to?” She was happy to be out there with Mulan and felt safe with her so no matter where they went along the path, she wasn’t worried that anything would happen to them.

“Here,” Mulan said, leading Aurora until they were a hundred yards from the others, with trees to hide them. She slipped her hand into the other woman’s, then gently nudged her against a tree until Aurora was all but pinned. “Pardon my...boldness.”

Aurora hadn’t expected that when Mulan had suggested a walk, but she found that she didn’t really mind it all that much, “Well...now what do you plan on doing?” Aurora bit her bottom lip and looked up at Mulan through her lashes. Whether she was flirting or was doing it completely by accident, Mulan would never know.

The warrior didn’t wait for permission, leaning in and kissing Aurora, lightly at first. A scouting mission, to probe her weaknesses. It had been awhile since they’d really had a chance to kiss and she missed it.

As Mulan’s lips touched her’s, Aurora’s pulse sped up and after only a moment’s hesitation, she pressed forward, kissing her back, one hand coming up to rest on the other woman’s waist. It had been awhile since they’d kissed and Aurora wondered if that was because of her or if Mulan was still just as nervous as she was. Of course now that they were kissing, Aurora wasn’t thinking of much else.

Mulan made a little whimpering sound, which quickly turned into a pleased hum. One hand slid along the gap between Aurora's shirt and her belt, where the fabric was riding up. Her skin was so very warm.

Goosebumps appeared along the skin that Mulan touched and Aurora gasped softly against Mulan’s lips at the feel of her fingers against her skin. In that moment she wondered why they didn’t do this more often and was reminded that it was primarily because she was usually too nervous, which in a moment like this seemed rather ridiculous.

Breaking the kiss, she ran her lips along Aurora’s jaw, and then placed them on the pulse point of her neck and flicked her tongue, before biting gently. If they weren’t so close to other people, she didn’t think she could have stopped herself. She groaned. “It’s going to be a long ride back…”

Aurora gasped as Mulan bit at her neck and her head fell back against the tree trunk she was pressed up against. “Y….yeah…” Her heart was already slamming against her chest and she opened her eyes to gaze at the other woman, “Maybe….should we go back? Before someone comes looking for us?” They hadn’t been gone that long, but there was no telling when the guide would want to get back on the trail.

It would be incredibly embarrassing. Mulan nodded her head, stepping back and smoothing down their clothing. She was breathing raggedly, and she had to force herself to step back into something resembling calm. Aurora made her come so undone so easily, but she dared not say those words right now. “That’s...yes. Good idea.”

Aurora smiled as she smoothed down her own clothes then held out a hand for Mulan’s, “I’m glad you’re having a good time.” Her own heart was still beating rapidly, but otherwise she appeared calm with the exception of the color in her cheeks, “Next time we’ll have to do something you haven’t done in awhile.”

From the look in Mulan’s eyes, it was clear that her mind was still on what they’d just been doing and not on any other activity. She smiled, and took Aurora’s hand. “Next time. Once I can think of something.”

And maybe there was a promise in her voice, too.
