"I'm telling you the truth," Loras spat. This time, he managed to keep the sorrow from his tone, the hurt, the desperate need. This time, it was Loras who pulled away, wrengching himself from Renly's gaze and hold. It wasn't the first time, not by Loras' memory, but he couldn't help the sudden dizziness that made him sway, just for a split moment.
"Your brothers are Robert and Stannis, Robert is the king where I'm the Knight of Flowers," he breathed, unsure of what he was saying. He shook his head, not giving too many details, especially of their plans for Loras' sister and Robert. "I go to sleep, and I see you...you have long hair, that's the only difference, except you didn't shave as much as you do here." He liked this little tidbit, but he still didn't smile.
"I feel you every night, and even when I wake up, I know it's real, I can still smell the Earth on you..." he looked at Renly from where he'd been looking at the dark tar of the parking lot, and the sadness and longing in his eyes would have knocked a weaker man backwards. "But you aren't there," he said shakily, pained. "And now that I see you outside my dreams, you still aren't here."
