Even after his conviction that they weren't going to the beach, Loras and Obi had still gone as the chances of running into Renly Baratheon on the wide expanse of the shore were slim to none. Loras had spent the day in the sun and had a discussion with Obi-Wan. He'd not worn himself out as he still had a job to do.
When evening fell, his own division prepared, teammates warming up for their fights. Next competition, Loras would enter in swordsmanship. Between his memories and new training, he was certain he'd win in that division as well as the one he was familiar with. Tonight, he fought in an undefeated series and walked out of the Convention Center with a large trophy. Behind his ear, he'd stuck a pink carnation that had been thrown at him. He'd picked as many flowers up as he could and handed them to pretty girls in the audience.
As he walked out with a few of his teammates, showered and changed into his jeans and button down shirt, he laughed at something one of them said. They all carried trophies, but Loras had the largest. He didn't see what, or rather who was waiting on the hood of another car that was nearby. As the teammates dispersed, Loras handed the trophy to one of them as it wouldn't fit in his small sports car. Once they were gone, he opened the trunk and tossed his duffel bag in, closed it, then tightened his pony tail and crossed to the driver side door.
