Babcock wasn't in Starbucks to drink, God no. He wasn't sure he could anymore. He was there to take his mind off...his mind. The cold air was good for that, and he drank from a thermos filled with chilled pig's blood. It wasn't perfect and it wasn't what he really wanted. But it was what he had.
He people-watched and kept an eye on the clock, wanting to bring Kirsty some coffee on her lunch. Then he saw her...someone Will Graham (that insufferable little prick) knew? He'd seen her in passing, might have even been introduced to her at one point but had barely a memory. Her and her Dad, who stood out a little more sharply in his recollection because he was a...psychotherapist or something. A shrink.
"I know you?" asked Giles before he could debate whether or not to say hello to her. "You know Will Graham?"
