When: Backdated: Saturday, December 7th. Afternoon
Where: Photoshoot Set
Rating: Family Friendly
Status: Complete

Magnus sat in the makeup chair, his photoshoot assigned stylist putting various amounts of product in his hair. Despite that fact that he was sitting, facing a mirror, he was too occupied with his phone, sending texts to Alec as he waited for the stylist to finish with his hair. He’d already had his makeup done, which consisted of copious amounts of eyeliner and gold shimmer to accentuate his skin tone and gold eyes. He was looking forward to this shoot, not because of the shoot itself, but because it was going to be his first time getting to work with Rangiku. When he’d been informed that the female model who he was originally going to be shooting with had pulled out, for whatever reason, he’d automatically thought of Rangiku and sent along her headshot. He’d been serious when he’d told her that he would help her and he’d seen this as his chance.

Rangiku had shown up early, fresh faced and ready for the day. She really had no idea what the plan was but that rarely, if ever, stopped her. She was used to Yumichika fawning over her when he was working on her styling, so these stylists didn’t even cause her to bat an eye as they primped and preened over her. She sent a few texts and photos to Gin before settling in to read the notebook she’d brought with her. She’d been taking notes as she worked on her training, so she took every chance to study. Even if it meant when she hit up work at the Burger joint later she’d nap under the counter. She was really excited for this.

Once his hair was finally finished, Magnus stood and stretched his six foot four frame then left the makeup trailer he’d been in, crossing over to the trailer that Rangiku was in. Knocking on the door, he stepped inside, “Good morning.” He greeted as he closed the door behind him, one of her stylists looking at him like he was interrupting a masterpiece. “And how are you this morning, Rangiku?” He asked, taking a seat at the empty makeup station beside hers, ignoring her stylist as he went back to what he was doing.

She rolled her eyes sideways with a smile. “Good morning! I’m doing great. It;s been a good week, so I couldn’t be happier.” of course that was a lie. She could be. But things were falling into place at home, slowly but surely, so she’d muddle through until things got to a place where she was completely happy. But she rolled her eyes at her stylist. They were always so touchy. “You look rather shimmery.” she teased with a smile, it was a good look. She tucked the notebook away and her phone, giving Magnus her attention. She’d teased Gin enough anyways.

“Why thank you.” Magnus glanced in the mirror, turning his head this way and that, watching the way the gold dusting of glitter reflected off the bulbs in the mirror then turned his attention back to Rangiku, “I’m sure you’ll look just as shimmery when they’re done with you.” He leaned back, glancing at the stylist who was now trying very hard to ignore the both of them while still continuing to work on Rangiku, “So, are you excited? What was the last thing that you did?” After they’d first met at the coffee shop, Magnus had googled Rangiku to see what kind of things she’d done in the past and he would freely admit it.

She laughed softly. “I’m sure I will.” she got snapped at to close her eyes, she rolled them once and did as the stylists asked. Stylists had such a hard job, dealing with talkative models was not something they always felt like doing. “I am, actually. Very excited.” she smiled a bit in his general direction. “Last one was for a lingerie company, big surprise right?” she knew what agencies generally wanted her for: swimwear or bras. She couldn’t wear clothes in photoshoots for more than five minutes before someone said off with the dress, on with the skimpy bra. She was used to it, though, and didn’t mind too much.

“I can’t say I’m surprised, but you could do so many more things than swimsuits and lingerie.” It was no surprise that most photographers saw Rangiku’s body first, but she was so much more than just her bra size and curves and Magnus knew that there were other agencies out there that could get her the shoots that she deserved, “Hopefully these shots will help you with that.”

“I never was when they offered those to me.” she grinned a bit then shrugged. Earning herself a glower as the stylist put the finishing touches on her own dusting of shimmery shadows. “I’d have been happy if I was able to be an Angel at least once, I mean, what girl doesn’t want to walk down a runway in some badass wings?” she laughed softly then smiled. “I always wanted to do more, try other shoots. But my manager was all stick with what we’ve got, no risks for you” she rolled her eyes as she stretched and got out of the chair. “We’ll see. I’m excited.”

“Your manager sounds like he was only in it for the money,” Then again, who wasn’t in this industry? It seemed as if there were very few people in this industry who were doing it because they loved it instead of just for the money. Sure, the money and free things were nice, but being in front of a camera was one of Magnus’ favorite things. “Shall we go see what they have set up for us?” Magnus offered Rangiku his arm, a smile upon his lips.

Rangiku loved being in front of the camera. She truly enjoyed the work. Money was nice, it let her buy new things and treat her bestie to.spa days, but she wasn't just in it for cash. "Probably." She shrugged in reply to his comment about her manager. Then she grinned and took his offered arm. "It's going to be fabulous, after all I'm pretty sure we are in a pound of shimmery stuff" she'd laughed softly and opened the door for them both. Magnus was someone she was getting along great with she loved it. Her boyfriend was crazy special to her, and Yumi too, but sometimes you needed that outside friend too.

“Possibly a pound and a half.” Stepping out of the trailer, Magnus led the way to the set where the photoshoot was taking place. Aside from the shimmery makeup adorning his skin and numerous products in his hair, Magnus was wearing a black sheer shirt and rather tight, gold leather pants. The person in charge of the shoot was a friend of his who had been inspired by Magnus’ eyes, hence all the gold. “You know, I may see if I can keep these pants. I’d love to see my boyfriend’s reaction to them,” Chances were, Alec would enjoy the way they showed off Magnus’ ass.

"I'm sure he'd love them" she commented as she stretched. She was actually dressed for one, it was rather nice. A complimentary deep blue dress that glittered as she moved. She loved actually wearing clothes in a shoot. "I can't thank you enough by the by."

Magnus smiled, “I’m sure he would.” He watched as the photographer and assistants finished getting the set and everything ready then glanced at Rangiku as she spoke, “You don’t need to thank me. I’m happy to help you. What are friends for after all?” Magnus enjoyed helping his friends. Now if only he could help Alec find a job.

She smiled at him."I know but still it's good to be thankful for any help." She smiled at him and nodded as she looked at the stuff being set up. "I can't wait, our looks like it'll be fun." She moved when the photographer asked her to sit on the chair positioned before a tapestry.

As Rangiku was being told where and how to sit, Magnus was told to stand behind her, to the side of the chair, one hand on the top of the chair and to angle his body this way and that, “Oh how I enjoy being told how and when to turn a fraction of an inch,” He smirked, obviously teasing everyone in the room. Magnus always made sure to joke around during shoots, never wanting to become one of those super serious models who didn’t allow other people to look them in the eye or whatever nonsense they did when someone was talking to them. It helped out that this shoot was being run by someone he was familiar with.

Rangiku followed directions easily. Without any argument. She looked up at him as he spoke and laughed. “Isn’t that the best part of the job?” she teased back as she returned her head to it’s original position. She never got bored - simple shoots always turned into something more fun in the end. She’d learned eons ago the first few poses and shots were mostly meant to get the lighting right and all that fun stuff. So she didn’t get too upset about it all. She knew the fun was to come.
