Re: Gabriel + Dean + open = this is a mess guys
"I'll talk to him later," Castiel said softly, and knew it to be the truth. There would be no way that Gabriel would let him him get away with the avoidance that he might have preferred for the rest of the night. At some point, Gabe would corner him and offer him a hand on the shoulder and puppy eyes and quite possibly something very near the same explanation that Dean was giving now.
"I --" he paused contemplatively even as he melted a little further into Dean's touch. It was nearly wrong how easily he forgave Dean his trespasses some days. This wasn't quite the end of it though, Cas still had some stern words to offer. Not because he was mad, but because communication was important and they needed to be said. "I can recognize your peculiar bond with my brother on an abstract level," he said finally. And abstractly really was the only way he'd get it. He'd never been an elder brother before Samandriel, and that wasn't nearly the same.
"I believe you when you say the two of you are alright, and I'm pleased for that. But I don't know that you fully appreciate my emotional health when you start shooting people in what happens to be my comfort zone." He gestured, not at all vaguely to the tree house which was really only a few feet away.
