The touch was a welcome thing. It was...everything actually. Lucifer's reputation hadn't painted him as the most caring of men, but there he was being exactly what Dean needed for the millionth time. He was still pretty sure that some facet of his other self would be pissed as hell about the fact that he was even giving Lucifer the time of day or that he actually invited a demon, a vampire and the goddamn trickster into his home. Didn't matter. Lucifer and Dean were pretty much just cut from different ends of the same cloth. They had their reputations, but that wasn't who they were.
"Yeah," he said, looking at the other man. "I know, but...it was kinda important to me to try." Fucked up that he could manage just fine in an actual bar and not in his own house, but whatever.
