Who: Faye and Vala
What: Christmas shopping the Fala way (yes Lis I just made that up, let me know if you prefer Vaye ;-P)

Vala strolled up to Faye where they had agreed to meet in the mall. She had a mochaccino in one hand for herself and a latte in the other for her friend. “Well hey there you,” she grinned, coming up beside her and holding out the drink for her to take. “How’s it going?”

"Hey" Faye greeted with a bright smile, hugging her friend after accepting the drink with thanks. "Oh you know, the usual. Work, play, Merle and me starting an actual relationship. The norm really" she finished with a cheeky smile, "You?"

“No way! Get out!” Vala smacked her in the arm, the one not holding the coffee, but that was only a lucky coincidence. “You’re exclusive?! How the hell did that happen?” she grinned.

Faye laughed as Vala hit her, “He asked and I said okay” she smirked, “Something along those lines anyway. He didn’t like sharing and I’m more okay with that than I thought I would be”

“Wow, so Merle finally tamed the beast, eh?” Vala grinned. “I’m happy for you Faye, as unexpected as it is,” she winked.

"I'm not sure I'll ever be tame but I'm happy to try limiting my wildness to just him" Faye replied but smiled, "Thanks Vala. I just hope I don't fuck up, I've never been a girlfriend before"

“I’d give you advice hun, but it’s been a while for me too,” Vala told her. “I guess...talk? Fuck? Make each other happy?” she shrugged.

“Sounds pretty simple to me” she chuckled, hopefully it would work out that way. After all they definitely had the fucking and being happy part down, “Anyway how are you?”

“Oh, I’m ok, I guess,” Vala sighed dramatically. “Unfortunately the guy I was screwing decided to go and get himself in a ‘relationship’,” she mimicked air quotation marks sarcastically. “Or at least he thinks he has,” she told her disappointedly. “Damn shame too, he was really good in the sack,” she commented idly.

“I’m sorry Vala” Faye said, “And here I am going on about doing the same. Come to the club this week and I’ll hook you up with such a great lay that you’ll forget all about that guy”

"That's ok," Vala shrugged. "It gave me an excuse to get my nurse costume out," she grinned and winked at Faye. "But I will swing by the club, maybe that hunky bouncer of yours will be free at the end of the night," she conspired wickedly.

“Oh really? Now that sounds like fun” Faye grinned in return, “Oh sweetie I will make sure he is”

"I love knowing the boss," Vala beamed happily, lying her head on Faye's shoulder briefly. "Now, what to get your new beau...ah! Perfect!" Vala crowed after a brief look around the mall. She grabbed Faye's hand and dragged her towards Victoria's Secret.

Faye laughed, “You love me for my bouncers” she teased before being dragged off towards Victoria’s secret, “You think he needs any kind of encouragement in this area?” she said but began to look anyway.

"Oh I really do," Vala sighed dreamily. "No but its always fun to freshen up the options every now and then, and what better excuse than Christmas?" Vala grinned at her, picking up a pair of obscene boxers. "What do you think?" she asked, holding them in front of her and pretending to model them.

Faye had to agree with that logic, new things were always fun. As Vala turned to her she dissolved into giggles, “Amazing” she replied, “Almost as good as these”

"Oh god, they're both so perfect!" Vala giggled as she handed the pair she was holding over to Faye and turned to start looking for more. "What else have we got?"

Faye took the pants from Vala with a grin on her own face, “They are” she nodded before looking around, “There’s t shirts and things over here” she said moving to a different area of the shop.

“Oh...my...you definitely have to get him this!” Vala reached for a t-shirt and held it up in front of her with a huge grin.

“This whole place is full of stuff with Merle’s name on it” she said with a chuckle, “At least he’s gonna be easy to buy for right?”

"I'd say something about how it suits his personality, but as his girlfriend you'd have to get offended," Vala winked at her, holding the t-shirt out for her to take. "Anything else strike your fancy?" she asked looking back at the range.

“Oh god would I? Is that part of the job description? Maybe I’m not girlfriend material” she joked as she took the shirt. Looking around a slow smile spread across her face, “It could be considered a present for him even if I’m the one wearing it” she said as she stopped in front of the range of body stockings.

“A little bit hun,” Vala laughed. “I mean, I have a feeling you guys are going to pretty much redefine what ‘relationship’ means to the rest of the human race, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing,” she teased. “Ooo…definitely a present for him! Who needs a stocking on the fireplace when you can have it on your girlfriend?!” she grinned, picking up the ‘Britney’ packet.

Faye laughed at that, “I quite like the idea of that” she grinned, thinking Vala was probably right. “That’s exactly it” she winked, “Definitely that one, it’s sexy but not overly slutty. Not that Merle would mind either way of course”

“I’m not sure Merle will fully appreciate it if you leave him to his own devices,” Vala thought aloud. “You should probably get him some of these so you can properly show it off,” she picked up a pair of handcuffs and handed them to Faye. “But don’t get too tortuous, they’re not the strongest,” she winked.

"I do love the way you think, I've told you that before right?" she winked adding them to her pile before laughing, "First hand knowledge there?"

“That’s why we’re perfect together, don’t worry, this thing with Merle will run its course and you’ll come running back to me once you realise how desperately in love with me you are,” Vala replied flatly, touching some other items on the racks and idly wondering if turning up on Nolan’s doorstep in little more than a scrap of lace was tacky. “You could say that, I had a very good friend who liked to get a little rough, a little too rough if you know what I mean,” she leaned over to Faye. “I broke the cuffs and slapped him around the head with them still on, bruise didn’t fade for weeks, still had it at the hearing,” she said casually.

“Well as long as you know that” Faye nodded as she slapped Vala’s ass with a grin.

Faye listened and understood what wasn’t being said, “Good for you. Fun is fun but nobody is allowed to hurt you” she said wrapping her arms around Vala from behind and kissing her friends shoulder before releasing her. “Come on find something sexy I can buy you, I can’t be the only one getting something fun from this place”

"Hey, I'm ok, and he wasn't in court for that, but I may have had a hand in introducing him to the cop he tried to sell some class A to..." Vala patted her friend on the arm, giving her a wink. "You do realise that you don’t need, right? I've got no-one to impress this Christmas," she joked.

“Well whatever he was there for I’m glad he was done for something” Faye told her before she smiled, “Yet. You don’t have anyone yet. And besides the things in this place you can find something to impress you” she raised her eyebrow with a smirk so Vala would get her meaning, “You don’t always need a guy to have fun”

“Well if a certain barkeep could find her way to letting me keep a little Christmas parcel under my tree in the form of a certain bouncer I’d most definitely not be alone,” Vala winked at her friend.

“Oh well in that case I will definitely see what I can do” Faye grinned, “I’ll put him in a little bow and everything” she added.

“Oh…” Vala sighed happily, gazing off into the distance as she imagined him wrapped up in nothing but a bow. “Is it Christmas yet?” she grinned. “I could get myself all dressed up for that I suppose,” she joked and shoulder bumped her friend.

“See?” Faye grinned brightly, “Now let’s find something amazing he can rip off you with his teeth”
