When: A week ago or so
Where: Osaka, Japan
Status: Complete
Rating: PG-13 for naughty
Azula swept into the room Ty Lee was waiting in, and picked up a bagged up dress, "Okay, get ready. Your dress is on the bed." She disappeared into the suite's bathroom and locked the door.
Ty Lee had been doing some stretches on the floor, currently in front-facing split when Azula swept in. She looked up at her and tilted her head to the side, curious as to what Azula had in her bag this time.
"There's a dress on my bed?" She asked excitedly, then hopped up off the floor like it wasn't hard at all to get out of that position, and zoomed into her own bedroom to check the dress out.
Smiling to herself, Azula dressed herself up. Hers was similar to Mai's, but showed more cleavage at the expense of less leg. Most of her time was spent wrangling with her hair and make-up. Everything had to be perfect. Always perfect. She was going out in public....while it wasn't a place her family or the Fire Nation frequented, it was still a nice place. So. Perfect.
An entire minute was spent staring at the dress that Azula had picked out for her, which was a deep red color and subtly shimmery. She instantly loved it, and couldn't believe she was getting to wear something so gorgeous. When she got it on, she realised how much of her it showed off, but she wasn't sure she cared. Her legs were nice and toned from all that gymnastics, and she wanted Azula to admire her.
She fussed with hair and makeup a bit, too, then headed out into the main suite area to wait for Azula.
And wondered absently how Mai and Zuko's date was going. She hoped they'd get back together.
Azula stepped out, wearing impossibly high heels. She stopped to admire Ty Lee before the other woman noticed her. She felt proud. Possessive. If they didn't have reservations she would have left marks all over the gymnast, "Are you ready?"
"You look so beautiful!" Ty Lee exclaimed as she looked Azula over. She was so very lucky to have Azula's attention like this, too, and she knew it. She didn't take it for granted at all.
She nodded her head, "I'm ready to go, whenever you are. Are you going to tell me where we're going, or is it a surprise?"
Azula's skin might have colored ever so slightly, "You'll see when we get there. The food is supposed to be divine." She slipped past Ty Lee and opened the door. They made their way down to the lobby. There was already a car waiting, and Azula ..well she certainly wasn't going to open the door.
Without much more than a 3 second hesitation of sitting there wondering what was being waited on, Ty Lee opened the door for Azula, then held out her hand like she'd seen men do before, to help her into the car.
When Azula was settled, she gracefully swung herself in and shut the door. It was kind of fun to play the gentleman sometimes!
"This is going to be so much fun. Our first ... girls night out!" She did hesitate to use the word date.
"This will be fun," Azula promised, as if she were ordering it to be just so. The car pulled away, and began to drive. It wasn't that close, so it might take awhile, and Azula's finger started tracing patterns in Ty Lee's hip, "I want it here."
"Oh, really?"
Ty lee looked the spot over and tilted her head, "That looks like a good spot. I was wondering, though, if we could make it a little..." she searched for the word, wanting to pick the right one to convey her meaning, "More ornate? Like fancy it up a little bit? Or does it have to be exact?"
Shifting around, Azula looked at the one on her arm, "It just has to be flame. Most personalize it somehow." This had been in her dream. The logo of their people. It had seemed appropriate.
There'd been a dream that Ty Lee had had, a few nights ago. They were all at fancy parties and Azula - she was sure it was Azula - had made her cry, but then asked her about how to get men to pay attention to her. It was kind of an odd dream, but she remembered that everyone was wearing shades of red, and fancy hair ornaments with fire symbols on them.
"I have an idea for a design, maybe I can show you when we get there, on a napkin or our phones?"
Nodding her head, Azula deemed this acceptable, but she did not stop touching Ty Lee until they'd arrived at the restaurant, and had to step out of the car. Their table was set far in the back, like Mai's had been. Their dinner was actually less decadent. In the war between eating like a queen and eating like she actually wanted to, want had won out.
It was a very nice place and Ty Lee had nothing to compare it to, really. She'd grown up priveleged, of course, but only until she'd had to run away. Her memories in her youth had never involved someplace quite so nice. Or if it did, she'd been too young to remember things correctly.
She looked around the place and tried not to be slackjawed as the waiter led them back to the table, then smiled and took her seat. She wasn't sure how close to Azula she was allowed to be, though. She glanced at Azula when they were all settled in, as if trying to gauge.
Azula sat across from Ty Lee, and slid her left foot out of it's heel, casually stroking at Ty Lee's leg, "We could have gone fancier, but I wanted to give that to Zuko. The food here is better, anyway."
The idea that she wanted to give a much more fancy dinner to Zuko should have sounded off warning bells in Ty Lee's head. Instead, she smiled and nodded, "That was very nice of you, giving him and Mai a fancy dinner like that. I really hope they manage to work things out and stop being so ... grouchy."
She blushed a bit at the foot-play going on under the table, wondering if she'd be able to get her feet out of her shoes as easily. They were strappy sandals.
"Me too." And for once, that sounded genuine. Whatever manipulations she was pulling, she did have a heart. A very tiny one. Azula's foot continued to stroke up her leg. The socialite had a plan for where that foot was going to go, eventually, "I just wanted to..." She exhaled through her nose, her emotions walloping her in the chest, "Eat what you want."
"What? What did you want to do?" Came Ty Lee's curious response, like she was completely oblivious to the fact that Azula had probably cut that sentence off for a reason. She wasn't, of course, but she sounded like it anyway. Sometimes Azula needed to say things, even if she didn't want to.
She looked over the menu, trying not to make gigantic goggle eyes at the prices, then lowered her voice and looked at Azula with some concern, "Anything I want? Are you sure?"
Shooting her a dirty look, Azula didn't answer that question. She wasn't sure she had the answer ready, anyway. Her foot made it to Ty Lee's knee, and she nodded her head, "Anything you want. This is supposed to be a special meal for us....no?"
"Yes!" Ty Lee grinned at Azula and tried to work her foot out of her sandal. She wished she'd worn shoes that were better for this kind of thing, but she didn't really think of doing this kind of thing until she got here and Azula started it.
Foot finally free, she started rubbing it against Azula's ankle while trying to decide which thing to eat. Everything looked so delicious!
Azula thinly disguised her groan behind admiring the wine that had been brought them. Her eyes were shifty above the glass. She scooted her foot against Ty Lee's inner thigh, "I'm having this chicken."
"Oh that's a good choice, that chicken looks really delicious." Ty Lee nodded again, then blinked her eyes a few times at Azula as she registered just where that foot had gone. Was Azula expecting her foot to go there, too? That was kind of naughty.
What if they got caught? ... This was really kind of naughty.
"I think I'm going to have this pasta..."
She could watch her friend suck on pasta. This was a good thing. She slid her foot further, tracing her lips with her tongue. Azula would definitely welcome reciprocation, but mostly she wanted to be in control. And right now being in control would be to make Ty Lee try not to squirm.
"Pasta and chicken it is then. We should go easy on the wine."
"It IS very nice wine, though," Ty Lee took a sip of it. She hadn't ever really drank that much, and it was likely that this one glass was going to be enough to make her tipsy as all hell. Not that she was thinking about that, because she had no idea. She just liked its taste.
And she was, in fact, trying not to squirm. And trying not to blush, and not really all that effective at the latter.
It only made Azula more amused, and more persistant. Even after the food arrived, and she ate in companionable silence, her toes stroked and caressed, determined to drive Ty Lee absolutely batty.
Because she was hers. There were no feels. Keep telling yourself that
The more elaborate parts of the little relationship game they were playing were completely lost on Ty Lee, of course. She knew Azula well enough to know how and when to manipulate her from the friendship angle, yes, but the relationship dynamic had changed. The concept of 'ownership' as opposed to 'mutual feelings of desire and love'? That concept, she did not get.
She tried to concentrate on eating her food, to keep from moaning and squirming. This was getting a little embarrassing! And was still very, very naughty.
The feelings were generally mutual, at least the desire was. Love was something that was possession to Azula. She didn't know how to deal with it any other way, and if she stopped to think about it, she though she could lose Ty Lee over it. So she didn't think about it, because that would mean coping. And coping would mean her little world shattering around her. Mercifully, she slid her foot away so they could concentrate on eating.
"When we get back, how long before you have to fly to London?"
The relief on Ty Lee's face was almost palpable, though she said nothing. Her own foot was still rubbing at Azula's thigh.
"Well that really depends on how long we stay here, but the tickets have me flying out there sometime next week, I think. So not very long at all. It gives us lots of time to get used to the different time zone and train on the actual equipment over there, though. That's good."
When she thought about it longer than a few minutes she got so nervous that she wanted to throw up. That was a sign of weakness that was simply unacceptable, so she stopped thinking about it.
It was a sensation that Azula was relishing. It helped that Ty Lee was so flexible.
There was an unfamiliar sensation in her chest. It made her want to rub at the spot over her heart, which she did. It wasn't wholly unfamiliar; she'd felt it in her dreams. It was always associated with Ty Lee, and even a little bit with Mai.
Azula opted to ignore it, "I'll be lonely."
"I thought you were coming with me? I saved tickets for you and Mai... You told me to save you tickets." She sounded absolutely crushed, and looked like Azula had just done the equivalent of ripping her heart out.
"Ty Lee, I'll be coming with you, just not this week." She reached over and put a hand over her lover's, "There are things I need to take care of first. Do you understand?"
And just like that, her face was back to being bright and happy again, "Your work is important, of course, I was just confused. I thought you were doing some telecommuting or something. Mai probably will wait, too, I guess? It's probably really unfair to make her fly again so quickly."
She felt ashamed of her little emotional outburst, and looked down at her plate, "I'm sorry, I should have thought of that."
"I never intended to be there the whole month, Ty Lee." Azula smiled at her, shaking her head, "The plan is for you to fly out first, and I'll fly out a few days before everything starts." She thought about it for a moment, "How about we go out there a week early, that should give us enough time to do some touristy thing, if we can fit it into your training schedule."
"That's very generous of you! I'd really..." She grinned at the thought of them doing touristy things together, and was excited that Azula was making time just for her, "I'd really like that, Azula. It would mean a lot, you know?"
To punctuate how much it would mean to her, she actually dug her foot a little deeper up Azula's skirt.
Azula gasped aloud, gripping the edge of the table before regaining her composure. She gave Ty Lee a wicked little smirk, "Oh, I intend to have time for just us, as well as time for the two of us an Mai."
It had originally been just the three of them, but Ty Lee was so excited at the possibility of just the two of them, even Azula couldn't ruin the moment, so she altered her plans. Pray she does not alter then further.
Sighing, she said wistfully, "You make it difficult, sometimes..."
"... am I being too loud about it? I know you didn't want everyone to know," Ty Lee half-frowned, though she was somewhat proud of her ability to make this hard on Azula, and she wiggled her toes about like she was enjoying what her foot was doing in secret, very very much.
Chewing on her lip, Azula shook her head, "That's not it, I..." She was having an emotion, and it had nothing to do with Ty Lee's toes.
Exhaling, Azula tried to speak again, "I had that dream again. Where I was in a cell. I realize I like it when you smile."
"You realise you like it in the dream, or when you wake up?" Ty Lee tilted her head to the side, she remembered that Azula had hated that dream, in the beginning. That she was in it was really very troubling to her.
She picked up her wine glass and finished it off, while waiting for Azula's reply. Some part of her really wanted Azula to tell her that she liked it when she smiled, all the time.
Both. But Azula didn't say so. She still hated the dream. It still troubled her. It made no sense, and she always woke with her emotions a mess. She shrugged a shoulder, "When I make you smile...Or when you're smiling and you don't know I'm looking." God, what was possessing her right now?
The comment made Ty Lee blush and duck her head a little bit. She chased the last of her pasta around on her plate with her fork while trying to find the ability to speak, "That's... You say the most amazing things sometimes."
"Don't repeat it," Azula warned, squirming her hips towards Ty Lee's foot. But there was warmth in her voice and a sort of ...conflicted expression on her face.
Ty Lee twinkled her eyes a bit at Azula and wiggled her feet around in just about every place but the place that Azula kept trying to squirm her hips towards. She realised it gave her a small feeling of control over the situation, and randomly wondered if that was one of the reasons Azula liked her side-hobby so much.
This wasn't the place to ask those questions, though, and instead she channeled some of her new-found spine to say, "You don't have to keep doing that, you know. You shouldn't be afraid of what I'll say to other people by now."
Ty Lee probably hit the nail on the head, with regard to her side-hobby.
Azula frowned, biting her lip in frustration. And maybe some other things - part of her liked when Ty Lee showed some backbone.
"It was a joke, Ty Lee." Mostly. Azula moved easily into her response, "You nearly made me blush. I'd never live that down."
"But there's a lot of times where it isn't a joke," Ty Lee pointed at Azula with her fork for emphasis, "You don't want people to know that inside of you is ... you know, something warm and squishy. So you always deflect that with 'this never happened' or 'you never saw this'. It's okay, I understand, but you don't always have to say that. I know you. I wish that when it was just us, you'd just relax a little more."
"Relaxing would mean..." Azula couldn't finish. She speared the last of her meal and put it in her mouth to give her more time before she had to talk more. Because Ty Lee wasn't letting this go. She was being dogged, determined.
Azula felt backed into a corner and had to struggle to keep her comments from being hurtful. That was her first line of defense. She swallowed.
"I am trying, Ty Lee." She felt raw, exposed, "There's not supposed to be anything 'warm and squishy' inside of me. That's weakness."
Ty Lee frowned, "It makes me feel stronger, not weaker. And I don't even want you to relax all the time. I mainly meant... you don't have to had your guard up with me. You should trust me enough by now not to have to remind me not to say this or that or expose this or that."
She could tell that she was starting to get Azula's heckles up, though, and held up her hand like it was a white flag, "Just... try to think about it sometime."
As a reward for putting up with her, she decided to put her foot exactly where Azula wanted it.
"I trust you. More than you think." Azula didn't know how to TELL her. Or show her. That she did trust her. It didn't stop her from reacting. It wasn't even about keeping their relationship secret anymore, so much as not wanting people to know she had a soft squishy center that could come out.
"Ty Lee, you....gnn...ng...." For a split second there was an expression of complete ecstacy on Azula's face, before she regained composure.
She felt positive emotions for Ty Lee. She couldn't even think the word love, let alone say it.
There was no reprieve in the land of foot-thigh land, as Ty Lee had discovered that she really enjoyed the expressions Azula made when she lost composure in a public setting.
She rested a chin on an elbow and watched her, with a gigantic grin on her face, and not even a small amount of adoration, "I'm glad that you trust me."
Azula panted, struggling to keep her composure but finding she was enjoying this. Ty Lee had control and it...well to be entirely frankful it turned her on. And they were in public.
Just don't tell anyone. Ever.
She couldn't even manage a comment that might dissuade Ty Lee of her adoration. THE FEELS
"You've...you've earned it."
"Maybe we should go home..." Ty Lee's voice hinted at the kind of thing she'd be doing with Azula once they got there.
"Yes...we should." Azula didn't even want to get dessert. She opened her eyes, giving Ty Lee a downright wanton look.
Ty Lee couldn't get out of her chair fast enough while still looking appropriate in a public audience.
Azula paid, and then hurried to the car. Which she then ordered to speed, like whoa.
Despite that, she managed a dignified walk into the hotel and up the stairs. She saw the do not disturb sign outside of Zuko's door and smirked. Then Azula? Took her time to open her own door, if only to drive Ty Lee nuts, and maybe get her to rush them in.
