Loki is surprised to wake up to discover he's actually slept in. It's the first proper sleep he's gotten in ages, and while he's still up earlier than Fandral, who sleeps like the dead, he feels fairly proud. And, even better, he feels like his old self again a bit. Rolling over, he snuggles against Fandral, nuzzling into his neck with a very content sigh.
Fandral did, in fact, sleep like the dead, but stirs a little when Loki snuggles against him. He makes a sleepy noise and wraps an arm around Loki's waist, nuzzling back, half awake. "Mm?"
"Sorry," Loki murmurs, sounding sincerely apologetic. "I didn't mean to wake you." He presses a kiss to Fandral's neck.
"Mmhmm." It's not an unhappy sound, and he snuggles close, giving Loki a few sleepy kisses. "S'it morning?"
"It is." He toys absently with Fandral's hair, enjoying the moment. "You can go back to sleep, if you'd like."
"But s'Christmas," he smiles, muzzily, nudging against Loki's hand. "We should do presents."
"You're right, it is. But maybe we should wake up a bit, first. And have some breakfast. We've got all day for presents." He nudges their noses together.
"Presents and breakfast," Fandral agrees, giving Loki a slow, slightly messy kiss. "Happy Christmas."
Loki laughs, but kisses back with a bit more grace. "You, too. Even if you did just slobber all over me."
He laughs a little and kisses at Loki's cheek in apology. "Forgive me. Shall we order some breakfast and wake up a bit?"
"Consider yourself forgiven." He stretches, giving Fandral another quick kiss. "Yes. Let's order something bad for us, and mimosas."
"That sounds absolutely wonderful. I'll let you pick for us." Fandral stretches his arms over his
"I'll do my best." He orders them breakfast, eggs benedict for Fandral and smoked salmon bagel for himself, as well as some breakfast pastries. Since they still have the fruit and cheese in the fridge, it will make for good snacks through out the day. He also makes sure to get mimosas, as well as a pot of coffee, then settles back in the bed next to Fandral.
"Oh, that all sounds delicious." He'll have to get dressed at some point when the food gets here, but for now he can cuddle up with Loki and press little kisses to his shoulder. "A whole day to spoil ourselves."
"Mm, good." Loki kisses Fandral's cheek. "It's going to be a fantastic Christmas, I think."
"I agree completely. It's off to a fantastic start already." Maybe he doesn't have to get dressed. Maybe Loki can get the door.
He gives Fandral a frosty kiss, because he can, then teases his fingers across Fandral's stomach. "So. Breakfast. Presents. Then what? Shall we just lounge on the couch all day and see what's on tv?"
"Well, we do need to shower at some point, I suppose. Beyond that, I have no real plans. Just to enjoy you and spoil you a bit."
"Somehow, I think I'm okay with this. Maybe later this evening we can go walk around the hotel and see some more of it."
"I think that sounds lovely. Take in the winter wonderland." There's a knock on the door and Fandral makes a noise of disapproval. "Darling, would you mind terribly?"
"Didn't I get the door for room service last night? And then we didn't even eat any of it?" Loki raises his eyebrows.
"We ate parts of it. Between eating each other." Fandral kisses Loki with a sigh and throws his robe on, tying it loosely to at least somewhat preserve his modesty He rolls the tray in and next to the bed, kicking the door shut behind him and crawling back into bed with Loki. "Well this all looks fantastic."
"Shush," he says, tapping Fandral on the chin as he moves away. Sitting up, Loki yawns a bit and then reaches instantly for the flute full of delicious orange juice and champagne. "Only the best of us, after all."
"Undoubtedly, my dear." He serves himself as well and holds his glass up in a toast, beaming. "Happy Christmas, my love. To many more to come."
"Cheers." He touches their glasses together lightly and takes a sip, leaning back against the headboard as he looks at Fandral. "I'm very happy we've found each other."
"As am I, truly. And I'm happy that, having found each other, we finally admitted affection." He smiles and presses a kiss to Loki's shoulder, leaning against him a bit.
Loki presses a kiss to Fandral's hair and then toys with it, sipping his mimosa with his free hand. "We seem to have been in the right place at the right time, I suppose."
"Perhaps it was something like fate. This place -- the OC I mean, it's a strange place, isn't it? Perhaps it was just meant to be." Fandral smiles at the hair playing and steals one more kiss before starting in on his breakfast. "This is amazing.
"It's very strange indeed," he murmurs in agreement. He takes up his bagel and spread some cream cheese on it before adding the smoked salmon, and steals a bite of Fandral's eggs in the process. "Mm, very good."
"Isn't it? Your looks tasty as well. But I'll leave you to it." He shifts so that their thighs are pressed together while they have their breakfast, occasionally leaning over to kiss the corner of Loki's mouth.
Loki rolls his eyes, fondly, and holds out his bagel so Fandral can have a bite. "Go ahead, while I'm feeling generous," he teases.
He laughs a little and takes a bite, nodding his approval and humming at the taste. "Perfect. Of course."
"Of course." He finishes up then tosses on a robe so he can get some coffee. He doesn't want to spill it in bed, after all, so better safe than sorry. Picking up a muffin, Loki leans over to kiss Fandral's cheek. "I'll be on the couch when you're ready to join me," he says, taking his coffee and pastry and turning on the news.
Fandral finishes off his breakfast and his drink, and curls up next to Loki on the sofa. "Would you like to open presents?"
Loki glances at the clock, almost laughing at how late it is in the morning suddenly, then kisses Fandral's chin. "Yes, I suppose we should. Why not."
"I'll get mine and you get yours." He grins, excited, and hops up to get his present from its hiding place in the sock drawer.
He laughs a bit. He has no idea where Fandral gets all this boundless energy from. Loki retrieves Fandral's gift, wrapped in a silvery blue with a gold ribbon, and settles back on the couch.
Loki's is wrapped in green with gold ribbon, and he laughs a little at their nearly matching gifts. "Here we are, then. Open yours first?"
Well, they are sort of their colours, really. And the gold and green combination is growing on Loki. "If I must." Loki takes the package from Fandral and carefully unties it, then neatly opens up at the paper. At first, he raises his eyebrows, because while Ray-Bans are nice, it seems almost ... Less than what Loki had expected. He turns the case over in his hand and opens it, then carefully reads the accompanying paper, and almost laughs. "Oh my god. At this rate, you'll spoil me completely."
The look of vague disappointment on Loki's face makes Fandral laugh out loud and he carefully sets the glasses on Loki's nose, giving him a kiss. "As though I would give you a simple pair of glasses for Christmas, oh prince of my heart. They look fantastic on you."
"Well, gold frames and green lenses, how could it go wrong." Real gold frames, even. He kisses Fandral and gives his chin a gentle flick. "I think they're amazing. Thank you.”
"I adore you, and you deserve only the best." He chuckles at the chin flick. "Shall I open mine?"
"I knew I kept you around for a reason." Loki tucks the sunglasses back in their case and then sits back. "If it pleases you." He's a bit nervous, actually. It's been a while since he's bought a gift for anyone but Thor and his parents, he's worried it might not be as good as he'd hoped.
Fandral makes himself open it carefully unstead of tearing into it like he wants to. When he opens the box he smiles, fingering the cufflinks lightly. "These are lovely. I'll wear them at our next dinner."
He looks pleased. "I thought of you the moment I saw them."
"Thank you, sweetheart." He closes the box carefully and pulls Loki onto his lap, setting the sunglasses aside to kiss him properly. "Merry Christmas, darling."
